The one where they claimed to rid the world of Ascians forever? I have a feeling they were once Warriors of Light themselves (either in a different reality/dimension, or timeline), but after defeating the last Ascian, they inadvertently caused something to manifest (returned everything to the void). They were most likely saved by Elidibus from whatever limbo world they were in and are being tasked to stop us from repeating the same mistake (three Ascian overlords are gone).

So then..... they were not created to "fix the imbalace"

This thing about the imbalance that Edibudus said was alreadydiscused too many times, and still we arent totaly sure if its something real or some a comment that an ascian said beacuse is afraid of failing.
All we know so far is that somehow they are here to oposse the warrior of light, probably a fase of "lets fight fire with fire" more or less.

That echo vision proves that once they were warriors of light, but something drasticaly happened that made them change, voluntary or not.
