Patch 3.4 - Soul Surrender

I really, really hope we don't get another Ysayle. I found her so obnoxious in 3.0!

Since going on an epic journey with a women who commited mass murder and encouraged others to do so is totally cool for the sake of a legend. Yep. Totally chill with that.

But at least she was pretty and thought moogles were cute, right?

And yes I know her entire arch is reinforcing the idea that no one is guiltless in war and her sacrifice benefitted the cause of forging peace. I just can't get over her manaically laughing as she brought down the barrier over Ishgard and that she really didn't consider the fact that the raging dragons wouldn't differentiate soldier verses innocent children.

I just don't find her to be half as admirable as the story, post her death, makes her out to be. I feel like she died verses facing the consequences, and is that really martydom?

He'll most likely keep his divine Holy Judgement. There was an Alexander Egi(?) with angel wings, after all.

In fact, I'm willing to believe that winged 'Egi' is actually this.

He only appeared big because he was floating way above the arena.

But, wasn't Tupsimati in the hands of Minfilia when she got "abducted" by Hydaelyn ?
It's missing since this event, and we heared nothing of someone breaking in the rising stone during it's occupation by the Braves.

Nah. We haven't seen Tupsimati since Nabriales abducted Minfilia. It was used to kill Nabriales.

Aymeric's a head of state now, he doesn't have the time to go gallivanting around with us. In fact, he didn't have that kind of time throughout 3.0 either.

Speaking of patch cycles does anyone remember when Heavensward was announced? Assuming Heavensward follows the same cycle as ARR we only have 3.5 and 3.55 left, yet I don't think they've said anything about the next expansion beyond vague generalities.

Assuming Heavensward goes like A Realm Reborn did yeah, after 3.4 we've got 3.5 and possibly 3.55 to go 'till 4.0. Where the story was going didn't start getting hints until very late 2.3, with 2.4 and 2.5 setting it up in earnest - since we've been dealing with the Dragonsong War for the entirety of 3.x, it looks like they skipped that tiny bit of setup in 3.3 for resolving the arc that started in 2.3. 3.4 is, from what we've seen, obviously going to start setting up 4.0.

... which is totally in development, by the way. It's ahead of schedule from what I heard (they're already recording voices for it). They just haven't put out any information yet, like where the story is going, what jobs are going to be added, if there's going to be a new race, etc.

That's good to hear. I was just a little worried because as far as I knew, they hadn't even started working on it.
