So we almost know for sure who the final boss of deep dungeon ( PotD )
Given the apperance, the song, tactics ogre, etc.
My question, is this guy just a super powefull voidsent? Or something else?

I wonder if he's a surviving Amdapori WHM? We're getting to know more about the Mhachi, yet we don't know too much about the Amdapori WHM and their ability to "alter the very fabric of existence" While I don't think necromancy is that magic, I do think that Amdapor did eventually made use of Voidsent.
The demon wall minion. Then there's the Disembodied Head resonator which animates objects that has voidal properties and this was used by E-Uma-Kotor to better understand/ recreate the Guardians we fight in Amdapor guardians such as Balipu, etc.
I'm pretty sure Ark is the current raid's Pheonix; a bonus extra primal surprise before the final big bad.
I wonder if the goal of the WoD is more of a singularity scenario. If they lost their world in a calamity, smashing all existence together, while it would thoroughly stop the cycle of life and death, it's possible they think it would bring them back with the people who died.

Ilberd seems a bit too confident in his speech. I do wonder what "power" he's talking about? I'd like to think it's Omega weapon. It might have been damage when it crashed into Carteneau, but sure such a machine that defeated Bahamut would have self-repairing mechanism? The entirety of Coil was recreating a Dalamud and Bahamut's body, so surely there's machines repairing it?
As for Yda and Papalymo, they sure have alot of explaining as to why they have not bothered to contact the WoL and co. They could go the simple route and just say they didn't get info or the whole ordeal wit the mask was worth more than reuniting with the WoL

It might also be an interesting opportunity to see if Illberd will go to the same extremes as Throdian. Summoning a Primal to "liberate" Ala Mhigo by tempering the Garleans, and possibly making a move for Ul'dah to specifically temper the Sultana and Lolorito (getting revenge on Raubahn by taking away his current raison d'etre as well as bring two of the city states under his rule), With seemingly opposing motives from Thordian. Acting in blatant selfishness as opposed to Thordian's feigning of good intentions. Of course it also help if when the whole "Spoken races can summon primals too" inevitably gets revealed that some of the garleans (even as high up as legati and Varis's aides) don't just up and Godwin their entire role in the story like I fear they would given preceding depictions, possibly with a character similar to Ameryc in role as well, one who wants to reform Garlemald from the inside
come to think of it, that might just make 4-5.0 a spread out rehash of 3.0 wouldn't it?

Plot twist: Mide's boyfriend/lover/whatever was turned into Ark and became part of the defenses. After we beat him up he'll regain his senses and help us get to the final area. If he survives he gets to be with Mide again.
While similar to Phoenix in Coil, Ark won't actually be a Primal here.
Also jokes about Mide riding him.

If memory serves me right, in series mythology Omega is known for having a self-repair system. Might be true here, might not be, but either way it's still (a scrap heap) buried in Cartenau until further notice.
WhatIlberdMasked Man is talking about, who knows. I'm not yet inclined to believe it's Omega (see above) or a Primal (a plot retread would be kind of boring). What, exactly, who knows... but that's the fun of it, yeah?
From the Echo flashback to their past along with Darklander's far less vague DE dialogue, it sounds like the Warriors of Darkness brokered a deal with Elidibus - kill us and spare their world (for now).

I'm currently wathicng Ethys breakdown of the trailer and he mentions that Illberd's in Qarn. I suspect that this means that we'll be going to Southern Thanalan soon (also note that Ifrit's Aetheryte for Hard and Extremes are located in the same zone)
