I applaud the winner. But I really wish one that was a bit more interesting won. Then again, it is tank and I guess you have to look like a tank..which is covered in metal..which sadly I find incredibly boring. But congrats to the winner regardless.

according to the notes on alot of these, i think they will get implemented some kind of way, one of the controversial ones being mentioned the tribal one, didnt get a nod down, it was more of "this looks like a potential warrior gear. would look great on a roegadyn"

Id be hard pressed if they scrapped the runner ups, they said alot of praise for them to just sweep under the rug

This is essentially what they did with the hairstyle contest. We're still seeing the runner-up hairstyles added with patches. So maybe the contest just provided the tank tome gear (or theme for all tome gear of the patch) for the next few patches/expansion.

I would have preferred anything other than a recoloured clone of the single most overused tank armour in the game. (Looking at you high allagan coat of fending!)

Many brilliant designs they could use, but they go with a boring clone. Reeeeeeeeeeally original.

Though i should thank my lucky stars that it was not the terribad goobue armour.

Pupulace of the game hates change. Kinda why I don't try these competition bs, saves the disappointment for other things to come. :/

I'd prefer the PSO2 looking one, the tribal one looked nice too and Zero Signal's looked the most original. But yeah, immersion I suppose.

Kinda why I don't try these competition bs,

I never bothered because, before I even played this game, someone told me about the "design a mount" competition SE had in FF11 and how the community voted a European mount as the winner, and the devs said "Oh we really like that mount but we're going to implement the highest-voted Japanese entrant's mount instead. Sorry!"

People say we have too much allagan sets but we have only had 2 from first coil and second coil... I don't count the dyeable ones because its just the first and second coil set. I'm glad the Allagan set won. It looks cool and something which could easily work for male/female and all tank classes.

I remember when the tank contest started such a large amount of people liked the Allagan set but now that it wins the people that wanted it are happy so they don't really need to say anything but the who had their set not win are complaining. Just deal with it and just not wear it simple. You can't say something is uninspired because you don't like it. The fact that it won shows the lead designer liked the look of it and majority of the community seen from reddit and the official forums. I mean on the reddit the top comment with 100+ upvotes was the Allagan set.
