    i220 accessory question

Back in ARR and early HW, the crafted accessories allowed you to put main stats on them. For example, I had the i150 chrysolite accessories with 29vit/31 str.

So, I see that there's i220 accessories out there. And before I go craft them and meld them, I checked the Ariyala site and for whatever reason, they claim you can only meld one slot with a main stat and the rest have to be secondary stats. Is that how it works now? Can you not meld more of the "other" main stat onto an accessory any more? Or is their site just not working properly and it is misleading me?

    Patch 3.2 notes:
[2.0] The following changes have been made to materia melding:
Players are now unable to use advanced materia melding for the following parameters:

    STR / DEX / VIT / INT / MND / PIE

    * Materia melds that have taken place before Patch 3.2, including advanced materia melds, will continue to display the same effects.

Honestly, I think it's SOLELY to stop VIT stacking, due to it now offering both HP and attack power to tanks.

No, what they did makes perfect sense. I've been out of the game for about 1 year. So my last time I played, I had melded accessories. And ever since 2.0, as a tank, that was the way to go during progression. Having a little less STR but a lot more VIT was very powerful. And as the group got more comfortable, I could shed the VIT. But it looks like SE sort of did away with that. Looking at the situation now, it looks like best case scenario, I'd have a ring with 5-10 less STR and only +15 VIT. That explains why the Tier V stat materia was so cheap when I checked.

Thanks for replying, both of you. Still trying to wrap my head around all the changes done to the game in the past year.
