Most memorable NPCs outside of main scenario or sidequests?

Hey Lore forum! I was torn between posting this either here or in General, but I figure since you guys and gals pay a bit more attention to the world of Eorzea, I thought I'd ask the question from the title:

What are the NPCs that YOU remember/recognize most in the game? I specifically excluded main scenario and sidequest NPCs to shine the spotlight on those that currently are just in the game for flavor. Whether you can talk to them or not, I'd like to find out which ones caught/catch your attention. Also, it can be for ANY reason, silly, serious, or otherwise.

Personally, I have to say I enjoy the guard NPCs in the different areas. Not only do they help low level players that have bitten off more than they can chew, but I find the ones outside of the starting cities enjoyable to watch at times as they tick off the local lvl 1 population.

V'mah Tia, who not only looks like my evil twin, but seems to have signed on with the (reformed) Crystal Braves after the Steps of Faith in pursuit of a certain (male!) Hyuran conjurer who sits at the same table. So hooray for positive representation. Much like A'aba Tia before him, though, I'm expecting him to meet some horrible end off-screen in the next patch or two, as he seems to be preparing to depart on some highly dangerous mission or other as of 3.3.

The one I think is Rowena. This bussines woman is probably one of the most notable NPC out of sidequest (well, she's involved in some, but just crap quest). She is the one who trade with the tomes and now the collectables and Goblin stuff and I think she's responsile of the reconstruction of Mor Dhona and Idyllshire thanks to her resources. I wonder what she will do with them... can even understand or decypher the data the Tomes contain? Maybe she uses that technology for something secret...

I'll have to look through my screen shots to see if I have one with her name, but one that stuck with me was the female Miqo'te that was part of the growing group of Scions that are around leading up to your first encounter with Titan.

You can talk with a couple of them, her specifically, and she seems frustrated at points that she was apparently a member of one of the groups from before but no one remembers her (she wasn't a Warrior of Light though). Eventually she mentions that she's planning on retiring from the adventuring business...

Foxe from 1.0.
He sacrificed his wife to the Lambs of Dalamud. It was an interesting quest line with the surprise twist. Being all the way out in Owls Nest, I was surprised to hear a lot of people never did it.

I'm SO in love with the Ishgardian mixed-class couple
She is nobility and he is of lower class, and of course they are not supposed to mingle with each other so they meet in secret beside the AST guild (in 3.0).
If I remember right, in 3.1 she got caught by her mother after their meet-up and chewed out because she is supposed to marry another noble (but at this point I'm no longer sure how much of this part happened and how much my mind added? xD)
What I know for sure though is that during 3.2, her husband-to-be caught her and was all angry and stuff and she was full of despair. The couple promised they would meet at midnight in a certain spot to elope together then.
I waited in said spot, but never saw them show up :x

In 3.3, they made it to Idyllshire! To start a new life together <3
The husband-to-be was angry though, so in the spot in Ishgard where they had always met (beside the AST guild), he is now standing, sending off two goons to catch his bride and get rid of the lower-class lover!
And they actually caught up to them for real
In the newly added back part of Idyllshire, you know, the part with the fields and the workers and pumpkin patches and the like, you can find said couple where the two goons are beating up the lover and she is desperate and crying

I care more about seeing their story continue than the MSQ xD
I SO want them to have a happy ending ;-;
A quest for them would be great too; I really wanna chime in and help them out xD

I really dig that Imperial Keeper standing "watch" in Azys Lla, the one who doesn't want to be there and you end up playing Triple Triad with since he doesn't want to do his job.

mine is going to be a cliche response, but the little miqo'te girl. she spawns at night in idyllshire waiting for her parents.... wtf SE T_T

Those npcs were actually from 1.0, the miqo'te is a Moonkeeper CNJ by the name of Una Tayuun, she and her partners (a hellsguard roegadyn ARC named Satzfloh and a male elezen THM in a green cowl and facemask named Percivans) were members of the Scions' predecessor organization the Path of the Twelve (this is what she means by "the Scions not being known as that back then"), and they actually appeared during one of the 1.0 main scenario quests where Minfilia had dispatched the player and their Path Companion to Moonspore Grove to protect the pre-Ramuh-caused schism sylphs from Garlean soldiers - basically Una and her companions actually forcibly take over the mission from the player and are rather standoffish about it:




Which makes what happened to them in the Calamity (and in ARR) sort of a mean-spirited karma in a sense, but it was still sad.
