Master Recipe book II crafting help

So my sister over on Siren is taking a whack at crafting the Master Recipe book II item and she is finding it an impossible task.

She has very, very little time to play and she was able to take weaver to 60 by force of moogle quests and that took her months on end to do. No other crafting job is past level 20 due to her very short time.

She does not have any level 50 cross-class abilities and her equipment is what you get by trading from the moogles + what the quests give you.

Due to her little play time she does not have the money to just up and buy better anything and the price for any upgrade equipment is downright scandalous.

How on earth is she supposed to get the item to HQ if its downright impossible for her even at level 60? The specialist abilities are downright trash and a complete waste of time.

She has tried but the most she can get is around the 30%s.

Her starts are something like 600 craftsmanship, 580 control and 311 CP.

Can someone help?

What cross class abilities does she have? Hasty touch from cul and rumination from carpenter and rapid synth from armorer all lvl 15 help out tremendously.

Also book 1 and 2 doesn't require you to craft it, she can get someone else to craft it for her to turn in.

She has the Goldsmith, Culinarion and Leatherworker level 15 abilities and that's about it. And, again, given how little time she has, its gonna take her a while before she has time to use on leves for leveling those other jobs.

The Intricate Silver Brocade is market prohibited. The item for book 1 is the one you can buy, book 2 you have to make yourself.

Any ideas or does she simply have to get lucky?

Limited playtime or not, she would be best served by leveling her other crafting jobs at least to 15 which does not take long even without the use of leves.

I tried to come up with something using only Weaver and sub-level-20 cross-craft skills, assuming 600 craftsmanship, 580 control, and 359 CP (Baked Onion Soup), and no HQ materials. But nothing I came up with did better than a 50% chance of HQ , and then only with a lot of successful Hasty Touches. Using HQ materials might raise this to 100%. She can have someone else (you maybe?) craft the mats.

I personally would have her focus on either gearing up her weaver or leveling other crafters for their cross class abilities. Whatever recipes she gets from the master book 2 are going to be harder than the item she needs to turn in to get the recipes.

She should be able to do this, though she might want to get some cheap CP materia. The 800 difficulty is akin to 58 recipes and HQ 58+ gear should get the job done. I'm pretty sure that's when I was able to get 100% quality but I had cross class.

Of course the problem she is going to face is getting Demi III's to even try and it will hurt when they NQ anyway. Right now they aren't too bad at 50K a pop on a few servers I keep up on but 5 tries means half a million Gil and yea, that can be a big cut for a casual player.

Have her practice on a cheap level 58 recipe with 800 difficulty. Once she can get that to 80% and up with NQ mats, she can make a go of the brocade.

If they had HQ demi III's it would be manageable with one craft but with forced NQ mats, one craft isn't going to cut it. Even if she gets the book, the recipes in it are going to be too much for her.

I dont know exactly what "very, very little time to play" means(is that 45 mins a day? 2 hours every other week? you dont have to clarify, but theres a lot of room for interpretation there), but if lack of cross-class skills is hurting her crafting, maybe a few visits to the ixali? Most of their quests would allow her to craft the item on her weaver to be sure to get it first try, then turn it in on whichever class she wants to level. This may not be a priority, but it is an option to consider.

Get every class to 15, It will take her an hour or less / class. Go to the guild, do every recipe once. The guild salesperson will sell everything needed.

The CPs will tale gil to cure, sorry.

I would say the quickest, dirtiest way to success here would be the following:

1) CRP needs to be lvl 50. The HQ crafts needed for the master II books are deceptively difficult to 100% even now without top-notch gear. Byregot's Blessing is simply indispensable for this task.

2) CUL needs minimum 15, ideally 37. Hasty Touch will save you CP. Steady Hand II makes Hasty Touch consistent at 80% success

Other skills will make life easier, but the ones above are more or less essential unless you are okay rolling the dice and hoping for "excellent" and HQ products on 30% quality
