A little excerpt... Literally the entire thing, honestly... Of what I sent to the ingame support desk for suggestions.. For I do not know where to best leave suggestions related to the news topics..

In this age of globalization, localization for ingame items can be quite a bad idea, if I may say so. It halts progress to understanding of another's culture, it makes it harder for people that get the bad end of the deal, it irks people that already know of another's culture.

Don't. Please, just don't. Magazines hurt your fans, it hurts the trust of fans of FFXIV. I saw that Belgian, a country where the half speaks French and the other Dutch, has to follow a magazine deal.. In French. Alienating half of the Belgians, as if they are not cared about!

True, part of this warning is in self preservation at this point. I know that for the Netherlands we will likely have to do some deal with the devil with a magazine from Gamekings... But why not make a deal with a Dutch gamer site loved for its news and give-aways/quizes? www.gamersnet.nl , to give Final Fantasy XIV more popularity in the Netherlands! Rather than pain the fans you currently have.

Just ask/trust the locals, have a poll perhaps, rather than risking messing things up for them... Pretty please~!
