Howdy, first let me state that this is another Yokai complaint thread. and to please respect that i am sharing my thoughts and opinions so that others and the FFXIV staff can see them. - D.C.

Getting all the yokai weapons is a daunting task. i myself have finished 8/13 of them. this event is tiring and is exhausting. this "challenge" isnt so much as a challenge as more of a test to see if you are sadistic enough to finish it... i know i am... but is it necessary? While i have every intention of getting all 13..... its a chore to do so and im not having fun.

Advice for the Dev. team: you once stated:
Fun comes first, if its not fun were doing it wrong.

This formless tiring event is making me not want to play 14, which is BAD, cause i love this game. It's going to end up taking like 2-3 month away from the game just to be able to play again...

i dont want the event nerfed or changed in anyway. i want it to be a constant stain, a reminder that when all else fails, make a quest to farm fates for RNG drop items is always going to be the go to bottom of the barrel bull shit that the dev team uses to make events.

for everyone else in the community whos is playing:
congratulations to all who have gotten all 13 weapons. You guys are BEASTS!!

Myself i have 3 weapons to go and at this point do not care if i get them all. My sanity deserves better.
It's a really bad reminder of how atma was when first introduced and was rather cruel of them to have the Quest be very similar.
It's all about repetition with them and recycled content. I think they need a more creative individual to come up with future Quests

It is your choice to get all the weapons. They deliberately made it difficult.

The event runs through the beginning of October. Pace yourself. I'm on the last three weapons and my goal is five medals a day. Otherwise I get brain dead after a couple hours of grinding fates.

You are only one person, you may not have fun grinding fates and getting the items but many players do. I had fun with the event, I leveled up some alt classes while working on the Yokai event and had fun doing it.

The guy from the Yokai company wanted it difficult to get all the weapons, didn't want it easily done in a few hours like a lot of the seasonal events are.

And those numbers assume someone starting now from scratch. It would be lower per day if you already started on it earlier and have only a portion of the medals left to get. Spread across the whole duration of the event, you'd need to average a little over 3 medals a day (so somewhere around 12 or 13 FATEs) to get all weapons and the second mount.

If it seems like too much to finish, calculate how many medals you still need and divide that by the number of days left. Looking at the daily amount you'll need to get might make it seem a lot more attainable. (Well, at least for now it might. For people who procrastinate starting on it and then want to do the whole thing the last couple weeks, the grind will be horrendous. But then, if you try to do a 2+ month event in a couple weeks, you're kind of bringing that on yourself.)

Though this has been posted before, I will still post here. Gotta let SE and the development team know whats up so that they never do it again.

I want to get that second mount and I want to get all the weapons. But why must we suffer (yes, suffering is the correct term) for something that is so optional? How is this sorry excuse of a promotion for Yo-Kai watch fun? I like Yo-kai watch but this event has made the show a reminder of "gotta grind FATEs" and that is not good.

All in all, I will be getting all the weapons and the mount, but I pray the development team never does this again, with anything. I pray that FATEs cease to exist come next expansion, they are by far the most hated part of this game.

Why do you need 13 weapons? Are you even going to use any of them?
