Quote is used when you want to state a sentence that someone has written instead of using quotation marks " and having to rewrite what someone has written. You can click on (Reply with Quote) which then creates a speech bubble. With the original sentence from that post that you want to quote. You do not delete the quote inside the speech bubble write your reply. Doing so no longer makes it a quote.

Because of you this thread is now slowly going of topic. Can you please stop..

And use this thread the way it was meant to be used.

Posting pictures is fine as long as you explain what the job is and how you think it would fit in the world of FFXIV ARR and how SE could implement that job into the game.

    Well, I give it a try ^^

    Necromancer (NCM)

    Weapon: Scythe
    Type: Magical Tank
    Gear: Robe
Cross-Skills: PLD (Provoke, Def CDs), BLM (Surecast, Swiftcast)

    Level 60
    HP: 15.000
    MP: 20.000
    TP: 1.000

    Main-Stat: Vitality
    Second-Stats: Piety, Critical Hit

Playstyle "What is dead may never die":
This tank-class have the lowest HP of all tanks, but the largest amount of Mana.

In your tank-stance (Rune of Death) every hit will mostly drain your mana instead of your life. Additionally, all your skills will consume your TP and you have skills for damage-mitigation and mana-recovery. Without your tank-stance, every skill will consume MP instead of TP with a higher damage output, while your tank-skills becoming damage-buffs.

Additionally, you can raise fallen group-members or transfer your life to other party members. You have to manage your mana wisely and be very carefull with your mana- and life-pool. Losing all your mana is very fatal, so keep an eye at your mana.

    Offensive-Skills:
    • Ripper (increase enmity)
    • Blood blade (increase enmity, add Bleeding DoT)
    • Impale (increase enmity, add Piercing damage debuff)
    • Guillotine (finishing move. Recover mana when this attack kills your target)
    • Laughter (stun, 10s cooldown)
    • Banishing Seal (silence, 10s cooldown)
    • Phantoms (AoE-attack)
    • Hook (Ranged cleave attack. Pull all monsters in front of you to your position)
    • Necromancy (Ranged attack. Gain one stack of "Undead" when target dies, Max stacks: one, 30s cooldown)

    Support:
    • Summoning Undead (revive one fallen ally, 4s cast, needs one stack of "Undead")
    • Blood magic (Transfer 25% from your Life to target, 2.5s cast)

    Mana-Recovery:
    • Canibalism (gain Mana from one your allies, instant 10s cooldown)
    • Ritual of the Night (Transfer 30% Life to 30% Mana, instant GCD)
    • Ghost (with Runes of Death) (increase evasion to 80% for 20s, every evaded attack recover mana)
    • Ghost (increase critical hit to 60% for 20s, every critical attack recover mana)
    • Rapture (TP-Cost: 200. Mana regeneration over time, 25s)

    Defensive:
    • Runes of Death (Tank-Stance. Reduce incoming damage for 80% while reducing mana with each hit. Your outgoing damage is also reduced, while all your skills consume TP instead of MP. )

    During "Runes of Death" (Tank-Stance):
    • Pureheart (reduce mana cost of "Runes of Death" for 30% for 30s) (damage mitigation: 30%)
    • Overdose (reduce mana cost of "Runes of Death" for 70%, while transfering 10% of incoming damage to LP for 15s) (damage mitigation: 60%)
    • Soul Eater (no mana cost of "Runes of Death" for 30s, needs one stack of "Undead") (damage mitigation: 80%)
    • Curse (Transfer all incoming damage to one of your allies for 10s) Sidenote: Like "Cover" but in a reversed way
    • Reflec (Invincible, counter all attacks back to target, no healing/buffs possible for 10s)

Without "Runes of Death" (normal, DPS-Stance):
    • Pureheart (reduce mana cost for all skills for 50% for 30s)
    • Overdose (increase your outgoing damage for 50% for 15s)
    • Soul Eater (massive AoE attack, needs one stack of "Undead")
    • Curse (Share all your outgoing damage from one target to all targets nearby for 10s, needs one stack of "Undead")
    • Reflec (Grants a shield which counters all attacks back to target to all party members for 10s)

    Limit Break 3:
    • Grim Reaper (Healer LB3? xD)

I need to join this thread and several others so that I can add the Jobs that i have Crafted and the jobs I have "reworked" for other players. I am currently reworking my original designs, Dancer, Tank RDM, Geomancer, and Salve-Maker, to 60; creating a DPS RDM, and reworking someones take on Elementalist. I also have a Puppetmaster job on the back burner and might take the Necromancer Idea Caitlyn shared and rework that.

So for right now I am reworking Kael_Thor's Elementalist idea
    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/m...0526-Kael_Thor

and Might take a stab at Caitlyn's Necromancer idea, as it appears very sollid but could use some fine tuning

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

The mime job, like what Gogo was on Final Fantasy 3 (I think).

    • You can mimic any other move performed in the last _10_ seconds.
    • Requirements: At least level 30 in all combat classes.
    • Cross-classes: none all none all none all none all
    • Instead of gaining extra abilities at every-so-often levels, you gain an extra ability slot that displays a previously used move.
    • Not sure what to do about soloability though. Have abilities that do 10/100/1000 damage maybe?

    Berserker from FFX-2.

The weapon should be a dual wild weapon.

They should keep some of the abilitys that they had in FFX-2

    Actions
    • Berserk - Increase's your HP and strength at the same time you lose control of the character. Best way I can see this to work is if they made it so it only last until the time on the action runs out. Also you wouldn't beable to use again not until after cool down.
    • Unhinge - Lowers enemies evasion and accuracy.
    • Intimidate - Inflects damage and slow.
    • Envenom - Inflects damage, poison and stun.
    • Howl - doubles users max HP.
    • Wallop - Damages enemy and knocks it back whilst inflicting confusion.

These where the best attacks I thought would work well in this game. Since FFX-2 was a normal RPG so having a action that allows you to half the enemies HP to the same level as yours wouldn't work in this game in my Honest opinion.

Well the game really strongly hints at Puppet master being the next class.
I won't complain but I would still want a dancer.

I dug up my old dancer concept thread.
    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...Concept-Dancer

    TL;DR:
    Tank
    Wields fans
Lots of stance changing and stack consumption
    Abilities named after FF music
    Job quests in Gold Saucer.

    None particularly well thought out, but I'd quite like to see;

    Blue Mage.

Tank, mace for weapon, INT gear with the tank stance covering the VIT/Def/etc. difference, mix of physical attacks and spells. Mostly physical attacks to build enmity, Blue Magic spells for utility/defense. Much more MP management based than even Dark Knight, I'd quite like no Rampart/Shadow Skin equivalent, instead something like Cocoon on GCD, that lasts for a short time, though AoE situations become problematic then... A skill that works like Wildfire/Synastry would be quite nice as a sort of counter based skill, more damage you take, more damage it deals.

    Dancer.

Healer, chakram for weapon, DEX based gear with Clerics Stance style skill swapping you to MND, physical (ranged, though slashing) DPS skills, "spells" for healing, they'd be dances rather than traditional spells though, animation would be an actual dance rather than the "charging" animations we currently have. Rogue as a cross-class skill, for Goad and Death Blossom.

    Samurai.

DPS, katana and bow for weapon, DEX or STR based... Stance dancing between two weapon types, I'm thinking start in ranged to build up some sort of stack mechanic to preform flashy, cinematic, powerful, katana based finishers... Rather than directional bonuses on combos, I'm thinking distance based ones could be fun, provided we have a solid way to measure distance...

    Beastmaster.

Tank, one handed axe for weapon, plus pet. Pet does the actual tanking, various skills to share effects with your pet, so you can swap enmity, HP, buffs, debuffs, etc., combos build Wrath style stacks which are use with various skills that boost the pet. Pet glamour system to provide variety in pets, should be much easier to implement than Summoners, given animal models already exist in the game. Charm skill can exist and be used to "unlock" pet glamours, as well as act as a Rouse/Spur style skill for your pet. Two "Summon Pet" skills, which act as the OT/MT stance.

    Red Mage.

Frontline mage DPS, rapier style swords (no shield) for weapon, INT get. Rotation built around the elemental wheel, not in the sense of "Shiva is ice, thus weak to fire", but in manipulating an enemies aether to adjust their weakness... Take XIs basic DoTs (Choke/Burn/Drown/etc.) as the basic spells, then have various abilities which change how they'll work, similar to XI Scholars Stratagems perhaps. By default have them just change the enemies weakness to the element cast, could have a skill to make that AoE, a skill to make them deal nuke damage, a skill to make them deal DoT damage, a skill to apply the element to your weapon so your next physical attack would be that element... Elemental wheel would work in a fairly logical way, you'd effectively combo the spells... So cast Frost, now the enemy is counted as Ice based, then you make your next spell DoT based and cast Burn. That melts Frost, moving the enemy to Drown (Water), so you'd want to use a Shock based skill next. You'd have 3 physical combo finishers, one for damage (so you'd want to apply elemental damage to that one), one to deal the magic equivalent of Dragon Kick/Disembowel/Dancing Edge/etc., and one to provide you a one time Lightspeed style buff. MP recovery in the middle of there similar to Dark Knight.
