    I am guilty of over using images and other media often in my discussions to get my point across. While I know it can come off as obnoxious, I truly believe it's the best way to convey to the developers what it is exactly what we want.

    that being said...

    I would like to see the idea of the Mystic Knight (Owl)/ Necromancer (Voidsent familiar, ect) re- imagined as a Scythe using DPS that has a pet not unlike DRG of FFXI. Where as the SMN/ SCH support and command their pet the Mystic Knight/ Necromancer is able to either let their pet do all of the attacking while they support the party /debuff the the mobs, conversely they can choose to to go melee and have the pet hang back, buff the Mystic Knight/ Necromancers attacks (heavy melee DPS, light Tank). I think this would allow for a class/ job that can change up they way it is played depending on the enemy numbers, party composition, ect. Also it would give the players the option of a lightly armored robe combination aesthetic, speed like attacker wielding a giant Scythe. Whats not to like?

    Don't know if anyone has suggested this yet, but a pirate or a sky pirate seems like a natural choice for this game. A mix between ranged and melee dps, armed with a dagger or sword, and a pistol. Could have a lot of fun with a job like that

    My ideas for the Necromancer are a mix of guitar playing and summoning the dead. It is accomplished with a Zelda like system of melodies and melodic freedom. Also a reaper mode.

    Conversely, I think a scythe would go well for a caster based on Revelation Online's Life & Death Mage (that's what it's actually called, but some have localized it as Necromancer). I'd do the scythe as a transforming weapon so that it looks like a long scepter or staff while manipulating life and a scythe while manipulating death.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    Classes I want to see, and some thoughts on them.

    Red Mage... But to make it work as things are in FF XIV right now, it would probably be better off as a Healer class... Possibly being essentially a White Mage with different Traits and Job skills, one thought I've had for it being essentially a White Mage that gives up regen effects for something like THM/BLM's Umbral Ice.

    Time Mage, Well it's obviously a DPS class, Haste buffs all around, maybe Slow debuffs for enemies (possibly without diminshing returns to make it a more useful), and Unaspected magical damage with the typical Time Mage attack spells (Gravity based spells, meteor, comet etc.)

    I don't know how well it would work to have a new Job class that uses an existing classes weapons... But to do something new, I want to see a Samurai job, that uses bows. Because actual Samurai did use them.

    I think would like, much like how healers are classes that heal and do decent dps,I would like red mage to be the class that dps, But can do decent healing.

    So I'm just gonna plaster here every job concept I've come up with.

    Red Mage: Caster who fights from range with various spells mimicking thaumaturgy and restores MP through melee combat.
    Dancer: Basic healing toolkit with melee attacks that will heal all allies for about as much as a medica 2.
    Ranger: True ranged physical damage using a pair of crossbows and a buff that can increase damage from skills cast while standing still.
    Viking: Tank using a hammer and shield that focuses on lightning skills and counterstrikes based on block strength.
    Grenadier: Basically a chemist....with a bazooka....ya know, because reasons....
    Green Mage: Light-armored tank with a maul that focuses around building up defenses and reducing damage dealt by enemies.
    Saint: Heavily armored healer with increased health that bolsters allies while redirecting a part of all incoming damage to itself.
    Merchant: Physical caster who uses their power over money to take down foes and buff their allies.
    Reaper: Caster who summons wraiths and deals increased damage based on the number of wraiths they have spawned.
    Blue Mage: Melee combatant who implements attacks studied from beasts and slowly Learns about a select foe, dealing increased damage to it.
    Sorcerer: Caster tank that uses MP to partially shield itself from attacks.

    I can post full details for an individual job concept for whoever wants it, or elaborate on any of them anyone might have a question about.
