PSO2 still getting crossovers with FF

The game is free...

I'm sure he's well aware of that.. what he ment was (like myself included). Even though the game is Free, I wouldn't mind spending money on this games cash shop. The game is very fun as was the original and for a lot of people (like myself), it was there 1st ever online game and PSO2 is like coming back home to were it all began.

I still hate the fact that PSO2 is not coming here. I loved the original PSO and had a lot of fun playing it. In a way I would be mad if they made a cross over event for it in FFXIV because in a way it will make me feel like their going "Hey, look at this game your never going to get to play."

I know the feelings, think the worst thing is they keep stringing people along with "No comment" but those who really wanted it at this point you'd be hard pressed to rip them from the servers they are on having max characters and gear. It may still find a home but being like 6 years late now or so? Good luck. =/

They already did it with DQ X. But the event was more of a generic DQ crossover. The same principle could apply here since while the specific Phantasy Star game wasn't localized, others in the franchise were.

You have to realize that XIV had just released when this was announced (and thus the games immersion was gone for a bit lol). They had the time and man power back then, and i'm pretty sure that they were already working on the events @ release behind the scenes. XV however? A game that has been in development for a literal decade (especially for the dev team that has worked on it, & just for 1 single game is LITERALLY there lifes work), has way more importance right now.

Considering the the offical NA website/facebook page have not been updated in 6 yrs I starting to doubt it will ever come. And now that the PS4 Version has Officially released in JP, you'd think Sega would be taking full advantage of PSN & the 40M+ PS4's out there. But nooope... *Sigh* Sadly I would rather see them not do it, because all this is going to do is upset people that have been waiting to play PSO2 all this time.

Kinda how I see it, some fans would still jump on it but I'd assume at this time people would not even give it a shot. Then again it is much more action and skill based so maybe it would still have a shot. Though I think one of the big things with the Japan version is all the promotions and crossovers they can do, was still pretty cool (to me) to actually go to a Hatsune Miku concert in game or having Sonics "City Escape" music during the anniversary of Sonic. Can't exactly say we'd have any of that stuff in a Western release but I also don't know the stuff required in doing the rights and such.

Exactly, the state of the game right now would be a Licensing hell! This game has crossed over with Soooo many games. They could avoid this be releasing the base game without the current crossover content like they did with the original PSO (and on a side note, City escape music was pretty awesome. "Follow me, set me free!" Gahhh dammit, thats going to be stucfk in my head now lol xD)
