Bard because I'm predictable I MEAN.... I love playing ranged classes

Witch's Broom because Halloween is the best holiday, hands down no contest.

Yeah, it has. I mean the fact that I've played an MMO for 2 years is amazing in of itself; the last time that happened was with RO like.... 10 years ago or something. Obviously the game isn't perfect but I am very happy with it.

- What made you decide to buy and play FFXIV ARR/HW?
I played ARR because I already owned the first FFXIV.
I bought HW because I enjoyed ARR and wanted to continue, especially after where the ending of 3.55 left us off.

- Why did you pick your character?
I picked my original character (female tomboyish suncat) because I love cats, wanted an outdoor type of look and it had to fit my plan to be a strong Marauder to protect my squishy Archer friend.
I picked my current character (Xaela lady) because in my internal story, I had killed my first character off so it felt weird to keep playing with it. Also, Au Ra are soo pretty and elegant and.. First HW trailer with them I knew I had to change..x)

- What was your starting city? and Why did you pick that city first?
I picked Limsa because tbh I actually tried all 3 openings on different characters and Limsa just felt right.
Gridania was the very first I ever tried, and it felt so opressing, both the atmosphere and the "OMG WE HATE YOU SINNER" mentality of the people.
Ul'dah and it's love for gold and corruption and blameshifting disgusted me and I never was big on desert landscapes anyway.
Limsa on the other hand..so beautiful, blindingly white stone, stark contrasts to the blackish metal, high bridges, and always everywhere the sparkling blue ocean..
Also, the mentality of absolute freedom totally spoke to me. Well, and the Marauder's Guild is there..xD But on ARR start I started there again (as an Arcanist this time) because I love the city ^-^

- Name one of your favorite moments in this game...
Favorite moments..uh, way too many to count. I think I was the happiest when I managed to buy my house. And it's been such a big source of joy since then as well

- What is your favorite Job and why?
BLM and AST. BLM because the basic concept is so simple but it's so much harder to pull it off well (also, I like big numbers xD).
AST because it's a support class and I love support classes and there really aren't any others. Also, it is so prettyyy~ ...and big (healing) numbers xD

- What is your favorite mount and why?
Favorite mount..I'm generally not big on mounts. Favorite would probably be the Pegasus from Diadem, because it's f*cking FABULOUS! And it's look is "neutral" enough so I can use it with any class and glamour and it still looks good.

- Has the game lived up to your expectations? If not why?
Yes in terms of gameplay. No in terms of graphics.
Explanation: 1.x was a hot mess, but you can't deny how beautiful it was (despite killing most PCs at the time..xD). With ARR/HW the art went into the right direction (no more copy&paste) but the quality dropped not just a little bit but SO horrifyingly much..
Having seen how these places and characters CAN look, I just can't forget that sight and I'll always compare what we currently have with it and be disappointed all over again.

- What would you like to be added to this game to improve it and make it better than what it is?
What I want added the most right now is a glamour system that is standard for most big MMOs nowadays; a system that stores the gears look upon obtaining it and then can be used whenever you want to. I'm sick and tired of having to continously pay for 3 retainers every month just to hold all my glamour gear

Like the title states what made you decide to buy and play FFXIV ARR/HW?

FF11 was the only MMORPG I had ever played, I thought FFXI had died lol didn't do that research so when I saw that FFXIV ARR was finely getting ready to come out I got my self into the Beta on PC first and then the Beta on the PS3 and from there on I knew I had to buy it. Like someone else stated I love the MSQ that so thats what made me buy HW. I can't wait for the next part of the MSQ.

-What made you decide that race for your first character?

The original race for my character was a male Miqote from the Moon tribe i think it was. I love cats in real life so I had to do it.

-What was your starting city? and Why did you pick that city first?

Limsa was my starting city, I picked it cause In the beta I picked Gridana so I wanted to try a different city to see how different the starting of the MSQ would be.

-What is your Favorite location/area?

Matoya's Cave is my favorite area in the game. I like to go there when I'm crafting and I love the music.

Moonfire Faire formerly Firefall Faire (2011)|Firefall Faire because I live in Japan and I love festivals which are a big thing here and we have quite a few in august.

I haven't found my favorite job yet.

Number one mount would have to be Nightmare Ponie lol (I loved He-Man and She- Raa when i was younger, and My Little Pony's, Old school not new school version. I'm an Old School My Little Brony Fan lol Still love this shows.)

I love the Dragon minion can't remember the name of it but my reason for picking this is because i like how it will breath fire and sometimes it will sit on your shoulder. It would be cool if it sat on your head and fell asleep as it turned self into like a ball i think you get the idea lol.

Weeping City has to be favorite dungeon. Just because of how much fun the boss fights are in it.

Not sure yet I have mixed feelings lol.

Bring the world outside the city's to life more: One way to do this I think is to have more exciting areas to explore maybe more stuff to do outside fates, gathering and haunts.

City Banks: The City Banks would be to hold all your items, money, crystals and so on. When you walk into the bank it would take you into a zone with in a zone so it would have no issues with storage space. I think that is how it works. When it comes to how many items you can hold you would pay gill for how much space you wanted. Each price would give you a number of slots to hold your items.

Ul'dah.. I didn't even know different classes had different starting cities so I purely picked it because I wanted to be black mage.

Black Mage - I've always liked elemental mages in every mmo. I seem to like ranged + magic classes so.

The 2 seater moogle mount.. its so cute. I did not like that price tag though.

I expected more tbh but I still do enjoy the game.

I expected housing to have more.. to do with them & not dead wards/neighbors/empty houses. I also expected the bots to not roam as much as they can..

-What would you like to be added to this game to improve it and make it better than what it is? you idea can come from any other MMORPG. How would you want the devs to implement that idea so it would fit into this game perfectly.
-BNS has a blacklist category LITERALLY for bots, you can block+report the bot straight from in-game when you right-click their name when they whisper you.

-More housing items that are interactive, some outdoor furniture allowed.. indoors. Different ceiling options INDOORS, increase the amount of furniture a house/private chamber can hold and more furniture.

-More housing wards, I know this does not fix a thing on over-populated servers.. but why not add it as it doesn't harm anyone? if anything it helps that 1% of people get a house they've been wanting and this actually does help lots of people on low populated servers and may encourage "some" people to switch servers which is what low populated servers need. I also understand they recently added some more wards but I'd like them to either add A LOT more or make housing unlimited.. it seems to be a problem in this game.

Not needed that badly but if added will love them:
-Emotes, I think this game is good on emotes but more of them never hurt anyone!

-Silly questlines like the manderville one for emotes, glamour, furniture. I personally enjoyed the manderville questline quite a lot. xD

-More colours to dye with. Pretty self explanatory.

-Achievements for attending more than one wedding. I don't like the repeat of the same reward and this would encourage more people to attend weddings.. weddings now are quite empty as there is no reason to attend one other than just RP purposes.
Maybe a title? a different minion? glamour? after attending a certain amount?

I got burned out on WoW from playing it for 4 and a half years, as well as getting sick and tired of tank mains like myself becoming obsolete when healers and DPSers start outgearing the content I usually run (dungeons and an occasional low-tier raid). I also got a PS4 recently and saw this game only costs $20, so I swooped up on it, hoping for something different. It didn't disappoint . . . much.

-Why did you pick your character?
He's me in real life. The Final Fantasy fashion sense is lost on me.

-What was your starting city? and Why did you pick that city first?
Uldah. My 1st class was the gladiator, thinking it'd be like the warrior class in WoW, a no-nonsense sword-and-board tank. Come to find out later they become paladins, a class I consider to be meh. Whoops.

-Name one of your favorite moments in this game...
Discovering level sync. Without it, I'd have probably had my fill of this game when I reached the Satsasha dungeon, with healers and DPSers running roughshod over everything as though I don't exist, and have just gone back to WoW.

-What is your favorite Job and why?
Warrior, at least aesthetically and mechanically. Gearwise, a 2-handed axe strikes me as more of a melee DPS weapon, not a tank one. Ninja and monk tanks make more sense by comparison.

-What is your favorite mount and why?
Just the basic chocobo. Mounts have never interested me.

-Has the game lived up to your expectations?
I didn't have any expectations from this game. I just picked it up because it was cheap. N/A

Knock the ilvl sync on level 50 content to i90. Can't think of anything else other than that though.

What made you decide to buy and play FFXIV ARR/HW and Stormblood?

It's FINAL FANTASY, and I will always play every mainstream FF title (spinoffs less so), even the MMOs like FFXI. Despite only starting the game a few months after launch (due to both billing issues and a personal tragedy that affected my family around that time which I won't go into), to me 1.0 did have some good ideas that were buried under so many bad ones, so despite a mountain of issues that made playing 1.0 originally such a chore, I was willing to give the game a chance when ARR was announced to replace 1.0. And I am glad I did. Getting Legacy status, experiencing 1.0's shutdown (both the 'Calamity' event and the final shutdown on December 31st 2012), getting into the ARR Alpha and Beta tests... I saw just how great this game was going to be and the dedication Yoshi and his team put into development. And thus FFXIV has hooked me ever since, even through Heavensward and now eastwards into Stormblood. FFXIV is now firmly cemented as one of my favourite FF games. I'll love this game forever!

-What made you decide that race for your first character?

Because I love cats! Also I kind of emulated my 1.0 character originally on my character in FFXI as I was lazy.

-What was your starting city? and Why did you pick that city first?

I chose Gridania in both 1.0 and ARR because I love the whole nature-theme and mystical aspect. I admit though in 1.0 it was not an easy choice, as I almost went with Limsa Lominsa simply due to the music (Navigator's Glory). But ultimately Gridania won out, also helped by it closely resembling the Federation of Windurst from FFXI which I loved.

-What is your Favorite location/area?

Oooh, that's a tough one. Probably the Sanctum of the Twelve in the East Shroud, it's just so still and tranquil, not to mention it's where my Enki married her beloved (my boyfriend's character Jing ).

-Name one of your favorite moments in this game...

Only one? Awww. Okay, the end of 2.55. I don't think SE can match that raw emotion that the aftermath of the ill-fated banquet in Ul'dah had.

-What is your favorite Seasonal event/ Special Event?

Definitely the Rising. It not only celebrates FFXIV's meta rebirth from 1.0 but also shows that Yoshi and the development team really do appreciate us the players (even if it might not seem that way all the time). Especially last year's 'The Eighteenth Floor' is going to be a really hard act to follow. The two FFXI events were also fun and a fond kick in the feels (yes I know I often criticize FFXI for it's many flaws but I do love the game and enjoyed my 11+ years I've played it).

-What is your favorite Job and why?

Traditionally I've always loved WHM throughout the FF series, but FFXIV I made an exception, starting as GLA in 1.0, and it's a class and Job I stuck with even into ARR, becoming a PLD accordingly. CNJ/WHM is good and all, but I just love the whole 'knight' effect GLA/PLD has.

-What is your favorite mount and why?

Legacy chocobo, because it's exclusive and unattainable (yes I'm being a special snowflake here, shut up! ), plus it just looks outright cool. Griffin comes a close second due to how amazing it is animated both on the ground running and in flight. And the magitek armour comes third due to the FFVI-fangirl in me (Terra's Theme being added as it's mount music helped a lot too!)

-What is your favorite minion and why?

Again following on from the Legacy Chocobo as exclusives being my favourite, probably the Model Enterprise. It's probably the most highly detailed minion, and it even has a tiny figurine of Cid at the helm! A close second would be the Wind Up Dalamud - who doesn't like a little crazy spiky ball of death-from-above following you around?

-What is your favorite dungeon and why?

I wasn't a big fan of any dungeon, but I did love the whole spooky nature of Tam Tara Deepcroft (Hard Mode), especially given it's story, and Haukke Manor. The Praetorium was also cool if only because it really did feel like we were facing down the cream of the Garlean Army there (even if the big showdown with Gaius that I had been long waiting for turned out to be so anti-climatic...).

-Has the game lived up to your expectations? If not why

Definitely. It fixed the faults that doomed FFXIV 1.0 and also had a lot of things I would have loved to have been in FFXI (mainly, solo-centric gameplay, quest icons above npcs and a trackable quest log, a minimap on the screen). Yes it can definitely be improved (and will be improved as the game continues to evolve), but the game's fundamental aspect is sound.

-What would you like Naoki Yoshida san & his developer team to add to Final Fantasy XIV ARR to help improve it and make it even better than what it already is?

Just one?!! Um, it's a small thing, but I love Ysale's reaction to the moogles. They're... so... fluffy!

It has, but there's still a lot of room for improvement. Like housing items could be more customize-able (I'm looking at you, mahogany doors!!), I'd love it if moving stuff between bags and retainers was easier we don't have nearly enough inventory space... like it's really just small little QoL things, but overall, I love this game.
