GC alignment only reduces the cost of GC Credits to buy the GC actions and items from the GC officer.

GC alignment is what determines the rank of your FC, correct? I'm just afraid that at rank 1 we'll lose housing permissions for the company. You have to be a rank 6 or higher FC for land acquisition. I'm not sure if you have to be rank 6 or higher to keep land already acquired or if you automatically relinquish your land when switching to another allied company.

Also, yes, you can switch which company your FC is aligned with, which is why it shows you your standings with each company.
