FC GC switch and housing??

We worked REALLY hard to get our medium on Balmung, and we don't want to lose it. However, our FC leader up and left a while back and we want to change up the company. Housing permissions are rank 6, and we'll be bumped down to rank 1 in the new company. If we switch which GC our FC is alligned with, will we lose our house?

Not sure if I understand you correctly, but you just need to wait. You don't need to change to a new free company or anything. After the original leader is offline for 35 days it'll change ownership to the next highest member who logged in within the last 7 days.

If your members are mainly in other GCs and it slowly starts switching, that's fine. All houses work in all areas, regardless of the primary GC.

Basically we want to switch our rank 8 FC to allign with a Grand Company where we would be rank 1. And since housing permissions are rank 6+, we're not sure if we'd lose our house, since technically speaking we wouldn't be able to own a house under those circumstances.

we already have ownership over the company and have a new leader in place, its just a matter of will we lose our house or not if we switch our grand company allignment

I've never tried to change it (will it even let you?), but no, it has no bearing at all on the house. I guess lore wise it's the same as you're allowed to buy a house in any area, even if it's not the one affiliated with your GC. Essentially the GC allignment is with the free company as a whole (not that it does anything) and not the house.

GC alignment is what determines the rank of your FC, correct? I'm just afraid that at rank 1 we'll lose housing permissions for the company. You have to be a rank 6 or higher FC for land acquisition. I'm not sure if you have to be rank 6 or higher to keep land already acquired or if you automatically relinquish your land when switching to another allied company.

Also, yes, you can switch which company your FC is aligned with, which is why it shows you your standings with each company.

The GC standings page is really misleading then... since it says 8 I assumed it was directly correlated to our FC rank.

You will not lose your house if you switch your standings. FC Rank =/= GC Standing
