Flash is 600 potency of enmity.

Before any buffs, they all generate the same amount of enmity.
Congratulations on failing to comprehend the statement yet again.

Its all fine and dandy that they have equal *enmity* multipliers.

What youre still failing to comprehend is I stated that since Unleash and Overpower do damage, that *in comparison* to warrior and dark knight, paladin will not have more threat.

I even simplified that you cannot get a critical hit with flash.

Why? Because it doesnt do damage.

(Overpower and Unleash, are enhanced by the damage that they do. In multiple ways.) (skills, critical hits, other damage multipliers, blah blah blah.)

So, when you do damage with this little 600 multiplier

Since there is random number generation within the damage actions, including critical hits, overpower and unleash get enhanced by the damage. Even if you only want to take into consideration critical hit.

Flash will be straight 600 "points" of enmity over and over.

Overpower and unleash will fluctuate because the damage fluctuates, including critical hits, resulting in more **threat.**

Since you can only associate enmity with the multiplier.

If you still cant understand, i'm sorry to say but youre impossible.

Also, I made that video, and it shows that warrior has threat, when a paladin and dark knight were present, yet for some reason you failed to acknowledge that fact.

Even though you attest that they all generate 600 points of enmity, but that the damage from overpower and unleash doesnt factor in how much actual threat you gain. Its honestly beyond me.

Lastly, there isnt any situation with warrior and dark knight that once you do 2-3 area of effect attacks you dont have time to start throwing in your other attacks that increase your next incoming area of effect attacks.

Warrior and Dark Knight also have brutal swing and low blow which help with a single target that can be executed at any level dungeon to get a boost of threat (choosing to use threat since youre easily confused by the word enmity or something) since damage does come in to play with who has threat, if that wasnt the case, then damage dealers never could have threat, nor healers, since they dont have enmity multipliers (in your explanations.)

Where as paladin only has circle of scorn at 50, and shield swipe, which needs to be activated, at level 30.

Another reason why its significantly more easy to keep threat as a warrior or dark knight in comparison to paladin.

I mean seriously, in order to not have threat as a warrior or dark knight, you need to be seriously undergeared or doing horrible rotations. Paladin, needs to only be slightly undergeared.

    Because again....

    finally...

    there is

    no

    way

    to

    enhance

    flash

    with

    other

    abilities

    and

    you

    cant

    critical

    hit

    flash.

    cant.

    Wait....

    let me guess...

    youre all using parsers?

Which is a program designed to show something like "skull sunder is xxx points of enmity" so when it reads "Persons Name uses skull sunder" it shows them for having that xxx amount of enmity?

Meaning, you go parse your equal geared paladin and warrior and get the same parsed number of 600 points of enmity for every action?

Well duh... parsers 1st cant read damage over time, since it not in the battle log, thus making them wrong.

Parsers also, since they are a program, only do what they are told. So if its told that flash is 600 points of enmity, and overpower is 600 points of enmity, of course its going to say they generate the same amount of enmity...

Making them wrong again. Because, see post above. Its more complicated, and parsers, to my knowledge, arent programmed by the developer, thus they are wrong when displaying a lot of things actually. Which is why you very often get two different numbers from the same character in the same fight.

If thats where youre getting your information, thanks for giving me yet another reason not to use them, or rely on them for any correct information.

Paladin was capable of doing area of effect damage in XIV 1.0. (with an action called "War Drum.")

So it would be able to do so again, if they allowed it.

Except in 1.0 it was needed to be activated via a block, just like shield swipe. Which if they did that i'd be ok with, but then they would have to add it in the next expansion or remove another vital action paladin has currently.
