    I like a solution to PLD's woes I herd once (& possably any class) "Make all PvP skills useable in PvE!" (it would give PLD/WAR/DRK not only another AoE dmg move but another move also gives 300TP at the same rate as Invigorate) sounds like a fix to me without "making" anything new and gives SE time to make a real fix in 4.0

    paladins are supposed to be holy knights. they should be able to battle raise and cast holy like whm, but I would also be okay with flash getting something like 180 potency.

    also make clemency instant cast and aoe.

    While were at it, give Paladin a Grenade Launcher with ammo based on his MP boom problem solved.

    You know it is nice for skills to have draw backs otherwise there be OP and the game wouldn't be fun.

    idea: Clemency does damage equal to the healing on the secondary target as a (very small) aoe around the secondary target.

    At this point, in terms of realistic goals because we're not getting AoE's this expansion, I'd like to see them make it to where shields just prevent interruptions. ,make it so celemancy doesn't interrupt our current weapon skill combo, and allow for DV to effect the PLD themselves and just be a instant activated ability, that way if a group is good for a tank buster, it can be used more or less to soften other sections of fights or be used as a general shield for a upcoming tank buster.

    As for the identity of PLD it's pretty obvious that they've pushed us into the support role of stop some mechanics. The only problem is that we're at a guessing game as to which of our abilities work on which fight. Silence, Stun, Pacify, DV, and Cover basically points us in the direction of locking down a mob and preventing damage from ever happening. But the problem is that it's stop "SOME" mechanics which may or may not really be needed.

    For 4.0 I'd like to see them expand us into the AoE area and give us more buffs for the party that doesn't require a second condition to activate and personal buffs that are activated through shield block to have shelltron be more of a synergy thing, as well as bulwark.

    They'd have to of course also look at and reconsidered DRK as I feel that even with the above suggested immediate changes would have the potential to push DRK out of raiding groups.

    If the paladin is supposed to be great again we need to get rid of the situational skills like Cover, Tempered Will and Clemency. Reworked trait for the Awareness would alo be good.

    I would like to see something like this:

    Cover - Take 10% of physical and magical damage intended for another party member, increase their damage and healing by 5%. The additional enmity being counted for the paladin and the skill itself working like a single target "song".

    Clemency - Instant cast, off GCD. The heal being delayed based on the weapon skill speed. Additional effect: If the target is above 75% HP it gets shielded instead of healed for the same amount.

    Awareness trait - Attackers get 10 sec. debuff with 50% chance they can hit themselves - working only on basic skills and autos. Refresh upon hit - this would help a little bit with the aoe

    Tempered Will - Remove and prevent slow, knockbacks and crowd control skills basically anything that is hindering the character like sleep or confusion from THE WHOLE PARTY. Now the skills is awesome lifesaver.

    Might be slightly OP but I would like to see these changes at least on a test server or something.

    The main reason why the Party Finder is not working for the harder content and so many groups disband after few wipes is caused by the players who ignore the comments.

    Getting to the phase XYZ once does not mean you are ready to join parties to do XYZ.

    Parties should spend most of the time doing the phase that is written in the comment not trying to get there.

    Well, Paladin does needs a lot of reworking of it's stances, IMO. Like, sheild oath applying a passive buff to all positionals but the frontal position, party shields, and more self healing abilities, while sword oath should get a massive buff to skill speed, extra auto-attacks, lowered defense, and the ability to shift aggro to the off-tank for example. And, the tank stanceS should be a single icon. Look, I know everyone wants more offensive skills, but that's not really what paladan's are supposed to be in this series. Most of these could be made into traits to modify existing skills and buffs like higher TP and HP self-restoration in shield oath, CDs becoming self-heals, and clemency being able to heal the whole party. PLD is a job about survability and GLD is about attracting attention. Basing suggestions on those specific aspect just makes a lot more sense for PLD/GLD's, and it's what I really enjoy the most about the class.

    But, ever since 3.0 everything literally shifted to a strict focus on DPS and go-fast, which is not what it was designed for, which just ends up seriously burning me out.

    I'd be happy with just swapping Circle of Scorn and Flash. PLD doesn't need much, it just needs something to do during giant pulls other than tab GB around and cry.

    Flash
    OGCD, 15s CD, Ability (no cost). Use to generate snap Enmity (like COS currently) and apply Blind (which then doesn't have to DR'd to oblivion just to lock down Enmity when geared DPS are unloading their AOE cycles).

    Circle of Scorn
    GCD, no CD, costs MP. Becomes PLD's equivalent of DRK Unleash.

    The reason why PLD's Flash does no damage is because it costs MP, rather than TP.

    Making Flash do damage is a bit like making BLM's Flare cost TP instead of MP. You might as well make it cost 0 MP at that point, as it's effectively free dps with no meaningful resource cost. I know that Flash and Unleash seem to be similar superficially, but MP management is absolutely critical when playing DRK, and is absolutely trivial when playing PLD.
