A Few Equipment/Gear Questions!

Hello!

I'm fairly new to this game again so I just wanted to ask a few questions regarding gear/equipment. I see some characters with high level armor that is dyed. However, whenever I wear or have high level armor and gear I can't seem to dye it. How do you get to dye high level armor? Is it only some armor or do you have to complete a mission for that?

Also, how do people get those really shiny weapons with those nice particle effects? They look so cool T.T

Dyeing is a level 15 side quest that you pick up from an npc in Vesper Bay. It's very easy, she asks for an orange juice which you can get from the vendor behind and to her left. (Her left, your right.)

A lot of the really cool weapons with weapon effects start at level 50 with the old Soldiery (lvl 110) weapons on through relic and so on. Some are crafted weapons you'd have to buy from the market board, like any of the Mighty thunder weapons.

Some of the level 30 Yokai Watch weapons have subtle effects.

Oh yes! I did that mission when I was level 16 and I am able to dye like one or two pieces of equipment but I'm not able to dye certain gear and equipment. Is it only on some things?

Yes, only certain items and armor/weapons are dyeable. If it can be dyed, there's a small neutral colored circle on the upper left hand corner of the item's menu icon. If it's already dyed, the small circle will be that color. (As seen by other characters wearing dyed gear.) Some items cannot be dyed.
