Palace of the Dead still needs to be tweeked

Not to mention that if you do the full run you get the V materia to upgrade other pieces as well. I got my two weapons I wanted and by the time I was done I had 8 V pieces that looked real nice as an upgrade for the weapons and some other pieces. People however will nevr be satisfied. The age old half full or half empty

I'm honestly okay with PotD the way it is now. Even if I'm not convinced that they made changes to the chances of silver chests actually giving you that +1 instead of blowing up in your face/not changing/turning into a Mimic.

It seems like (to me) that going through Floors 1-10 repeatedly for the last few of your upgrades is easier to do than having to climb 40 floors again to do 41-50. Again. Where I've found that most of those silver chests just explode in your face, anyway.

Just because you can get upgrades on earlier floors now doesn't mean you usually will.

I still throw away dud 41-49 runs. Why settle for just a +1/+1 on the last boss when you can get a good upgrade run AND the +1/+1?

Well, I've seen many 41-49 runs where no one got upgrades because they either all exploded, were mimics or silver chests didn't appear. You could very well get a worse run or even worse, get all your upgrades and then wipe on the 49th floor because some dipshit drg facepulled, triggered a lure, brought them to you guys and stepped on a mine (I've seen that happen). The courteous thing to do is just chalk up the loss and settle for the +1/+1, not be a dick and ditch the party putting them at risk of wiping at Edda. Players with your kind of attitude affect other players negatively, and you need to realize that.

Or, maybe, get your +1 in floors 1-10! That's the thing about RNG.... he giveth, and he taketh away.

It was made possible after the patch that boosted the odds. Still RNG no matter how you slice it, but it makes starting over less of a chore.
