You're dreaming if you think 3 dungeons instead of 2 will drastically change the experience. It didn't then, they stopped making a 3rd, good riddance. Better to put that manpower to other stuff.
The feeling that 2 dungeons isn't enough variety is subjective to the individual player. Some do find that 2 are enough, others (probably a majority) don't care and just want their gear.
If this wasn't the case people wouldn't hope or pray they'd get certain dungeons to speed run through them. If all rewards are equal, people would probably pray and hope to get the shortest / easiest dungeon out of the 3. I have vivid memories of people praying for Blayflox when the system was like this, yet wanted to avoid dungeons like wanderers palace.
Or you can use the other methods that have been provided to reach the cap that they've placed their focus onto. If it was just dieadam, I'd agree with this, but seeing as we have PoTD, which is going to be expanded upon and will (hopefully) offer more of a challange than the current floors. Which I'd rather have than a typical dungeon.the math still doesnt look good. If a patch cycle is 4 months and you cap every week doing only expert thats basically 110 runs. Even just mostly using expert(4 runs for 300 tomes, 150 tomes worth of assorted) is essentially still 75 runs to split. With only 2 dungeons that just isnt enough variety for some.
That is all subjective to the player and preference. Reasoning is explained above.

Does it really matter how many dungeons there are? We had three, and there was always the one dungeon that we hoped we didn't get, and out of the remaining 2 we each had a preference. Essentially making it a coin flip anyway. I agree with what someone said earlier. Just add new dungeons to lvl 60, up the tome bonus, no more coinflip roulette.
