    Leveling or progressing?

    Hi,
I'm a busy casual. I just made it to 60 with Warrior and am currently debating if I should level other jobs to 60 or progress with this one.

I'd say that I have enough time to put a good scattered 10-12 hours a week in the game on a good week, but I will suddenly have a LOT of time starting in December.

I'd like outside input on whether it would be more efficient for my future play to have many 60s or one 60 that can do all of the content.

If you haven't gotten your cross class abilities yet, work on them then continue progressing.

Get some lvl 1 abilities for all other classes then go to POTD and try the play styles out, if you find one you like enough to level go for it, if not, then continue progressing with your WAR. POTD is not going to teach you how to use the abilities but it will give you a small taste of all jobs. That way you are not investing multiple ours running around killing stuff just to level up. I tried it and honestly after I got my very basic gear/armor etc I ran as WHM and BLM all the way to floor 50 without needing to gear up at all. Ended with level 15-16 on each then decided I hate how slow the casting was. I did enjoy lvling DRK tho and now I am going to level that job a bit further out in real content.

If you enjoy warrior, focus on your progression so you will be able to do all content (remember that there are weekly caps and lockouts for some stuff!) and take leveling slowly as soon as you have more time to explore the pros and cons of each job for yourself and figure out if you like it and want to invest more time into it. This way you'll avoid feeling like you have to catch up and also be able to really get into the other jobs.

Since you're a tank, I'd say go ahead and get geared out first.

Having flexibility is never a bad thing, though, and the +100% exp bonus (+50% after level 50) will make leveling those others easier.

Also, you don't necessarily need to 'commit' one way or another. If you just need a break from warrior, go ahead and take one and just play something else for a bit. Or if you're really into it and want to be a warrior waking and sleeping, sure, go ahead and focus. The game doesn't really punish you one way or another, even if you don't hit the weekly caps you'll still get geared out eventually.

I'd say focus on getting that one level 60 geared up. Try to hit your lore cap each week, at the very least get it geared in esoterics or high level dungeon/raid gear (I forget, do the new dungeons drop higher ilvl than esoterics? And is Midas still weekly capped?)

Once you've got your main quickly geared and unlock all the content, then I'd say to level up other jobs. Preferably aim for having a healer, tank, and DPS all at 60 and geared up like that.

What I did when I got to 60 was do the leveling roulette on an alternate job I knew I would eventually want, then the other roulettes on my "main." I spent most of my time either earning gear for my main, or opening up dungeons, trials and raids to run with FC mates, but since I play alot, I was also able to slowly level up an alt job along the way.

    Pretty much this.

And I think you can lean on Palace of the Dead to level your other jobs and get those cross-class abilities... and by the time you're done, you can probably get a shiny i235 weapon for your warrior, which would give you a big leg up on progression.

Thanks for your answers everyone, I find it very interesting that there is a fairly equal number of good points for both sides of the coin.

I'll get everything to level 15 and then cap lore while level roulette on whichever class is most fun outside of warrior.

    Again, Thanks! Really appreciated!!
