Remember the days of popping potions when you didn't have heals or were ailed with something?

What happened to this wonderful gaming concept?...Why are there spells to undo sleep, poison...etc etc if your affliction to such ailments is one in a zillion enemies you encounter.

Now we have materia to resist certain ailments but there's not really too many difficult enemies we encounter that will hamper us with them. So what's the point of all these great little nuggets if they don't utilize the features. I know I speak with much careful thought that these things are all coming together for 2.0...but SE just in case you forgot...please make good use of your assets already in place.
