You can't virus yourself. That's why that works. If you try to heal targeting a monster, you heal yourself.I am confused. I have both my Virus & Eye for an Eye Macros as:
If my target cannot be the target of said skill, then it moves to <tt>. I cannot speak for others, but perhaps it is because I am not mashing my macro after a GCD, but it works every time and I have never had an issue with it. For alliances though, my Virus macro still works; however, Virus =/= Regen, so there may be a difference in that sense.Code:/micon Virus/Eye for an Eye /ac "Virus" <t> /ac "Virus" <tt>

Why not just Focus target whoever is Main tanking? As OP says that macro has a pretty situational use and is simply remedied by Focus Target.

I think I understand it now.I think the idea behind suggesting assist was not to include it to that macro of yours. The idea is that, since you can't put <t> and <tt> to same macro anyway, you only have the natural Regen somewhere in your crossbar. [snip] It's solution to the targeting issue with controller, not to the macro building in itself. It also gives you easy way to target the main tank for all purposes, not just one specific action.
I did return the regular Regen onto my crossbar, and have the situational <tt> Regen on a different hotbar button that I would activate with my mouse when necessary. I hope I get to try it tonight. ^^
I usually Focus Target the boss since I like being able to see when certain big attacks are coming even if I'm targeting someone else for healing.
I was hoping there was a way to put it into a single macro, but it looks like that isn't possible with healing spells.

/ac "Regen" <tt> does work as intended. I guess I did something wrong with my macro the first time. ^^;
Thank you all for the help!
