Mounts

I don't know if this is the right place to post suggestions for FFXIV, but here goes anyway.

I am aware that there is a small variety of mounts already in FFXIV, however, looking through them, they are quite... plain, if you like.

It would be nice to see some more interesting mounts in FFXIV that might make players think 'wow, I want that mount '.

I don't know exactly what kinds on mounts could be added, but maybe some cool vehicle mounts or something could be introduced to the game.

An interesting idea I had was maybe a bus haha. This would allow a party of people to get on the same mount and travel to the same place. Maybe, since most of Eorzia is more... 'adventury', a carriage might be more suitable haha.

Hopefully people get the idea of what I am trying to say. It would just be nice to see some awesome looking, ridiculous mounts into FFXIV to make the game slightly more interesting and fun.

Instead of more mounts (or more races), I'd love to have some mount customization.
Something like chocobo bardings. Maybe being able to pick out our favorite color for the Mana Cutter or being able to switch between several Adamantoise blankets... Stuff like that. Quality > quantity.

That won't happen.. Different customization = different mounts = different grinds = less work on developer part..

I suppose, there is always Chocobo coloring ^^ But yeah I see where you are coming from, although, that definitely doesn't change my opinion on seeing more mounts in the game.

For example, the majority of people I pass by in Eorzea are either on foot (because they haven't got a mount yet) or on a standard company Chocobo. Occasionally I see the odd person on a Goobbue which I guess are quite rare as I think they had something to do with before the game was fully launched or something, but from what I've seen, there are no real fun or interesting mounts.

You can get a Goobbue mount from the Sylph beast tribe dailies. There is a unique colored one you can't get anymore but you can still get one.

Once you get farther in the game you will see a variety of mounts. There are a quite a few. Granted there are a lot of reskins but just unique models wise we have chocobo, fat chocobo, fat moogle, zu, ahriman, bomb palanquin, dire wolf, dracolisk, that ugly sahagin mount, horses, Adamantoise, Fenrir, gobwalker, primal birds, pegasus, gryphon, dragon, wyvern, Twintania, allagan defense nodes, mini airships, warhorses, war lion, war bear, couerls. It's pretty extensive.
