Emotes

I'm sure there is many threads on emotes already, but rather than reviving an old post i decided to start a new one.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that wants to see some more emotes and perhaps a change to a few of the current.

I don't know about the other races but the Roegadyn /dance is so awful it shouldn't be seen... Not to mention the /wave motion the Roegadyn has is a little over the top like I'm trying to wave down some giant ship... I wouldn't mind having a simple wave just to wave at someone rather than the current.

Although /slap and /smile don't usually have motions to go with them i do miss them quite a bit and would like to see the addition of many more emotes in the future of the game.

That being said i wouldn't mind hearing other peoples thoughts on the matter.

Synonym's for emotes, duo/partner emotes, Idle stances (Arms crossed, Shifting weight), mounted emotes, shared chocobo and direction of point to be displayed in text (Solus Sylvari points North-east.)

I wouldn't mind seeing a few class specific emotes. If your current class was a Marauder, you could do some stereotypical pirate emote, like /arrrrgh or whatever. Conjurers could /pray to the elementals. Pugilist could have a threatening /scowl while punching the palm of their hand. Just hope you don't owe them money. Botanist could give someone a /bouquet of flowers and so on.

Not sure what emotes the other classes could do.




P.S. Aliases would be very, very nice too.

While I'm on the subject of emotes I wouldn't mind a way to put a Lalafell on my shoulder or carry one. (I'm a Roegadyn)

I'd be satisfied with just upgrading the current emotes and animations.

Why are chocobo animations so weird? instead of it coming around and you riding it it appears under you, or how when you dismount you just fall off instead of dismounting?

Why can't we walk in battle mode?

I know its kinda nit picky but ever since they announced 2.0, [DEV] threads kinda disappeared lol.
