i don't really see the point in a jump. but for a laugh i wouldn't mind see a great big line of ppl in ul'dah simulating a mexican wave
What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.

I didn't even read this post, the title of the thread made me have a little less hope for humanity.

You know what? New argument: Start quoting this every single time someone starts d!cking around with sh!tty QQ.
Jumping is a simplistic form of dancing. (Aesthetic movement that serves no purpose)
- Did dancing ruin immersion?
- When people dance at each other, does it annoy you?
- Are people standing around dancing en mass like it was their only option in town?
- When people are bored, do they stand around dancing nonstop?
- If the answer to any of these is yes, who's problem is that?
Then kindly, please, stop being such a rage-mongering buzzkill.
We're over-quota for that crap.
There's a surplus.

yeah, mhmmYeah, exactly. They are just going to stop development on jump and the new zones with jump in mind all for a loud mouthed minority with a barbaric MMO agenda. That is totally in their best interest.
Haven't you stopped to think that with 2.0 they don't want to shoot for a niche market of players like yourselves? That's what FFXI was and SE was comfortable with that. They were comfortable with making another MMO for the same group of people til it failed. Maybe they want to be bigger and not lock out a market that is starving for the next best MMO. It's actually a really good time for them to redevelop the game and release 2.0. Leaving out these MMO standards would be a terrible representation of a next gen MMO. Something they are going for.
Sorry. Your niche MMO is dead and is slowly being developed into a more mainstream market in mind. Get over it.
so you mad people will be jumping? worry about yourself

People have a problem with jump, well honestly I didn't read your reasons why because I don't see anything wrong with adding a jump and no one could convince me it's stupid. There are so many reasons why this game needs a jump. The main one being you should be able to jump up and down slopes if not it's a fkn pain in the ass.
They should make it you can only jump outside of town, you don't need to jump in the town so why make it possible in town? This could be a way around everyone crying about people randomly jumping as well. By only adding the ability to jump outside it adds the element where it's needed, same as you can't ride a Chocobo in town.
Honestly tho I don't mind what they do with the jump just so long as this game has one, because it really needs it. It's also fun ^^

You're selectively not playing MMOs based on a player's ability to jump? Really?!

i think when you jump you should be able to break bricks with your head. these bricks would then have rare drops such as mushrooms that make yuo grow taller or flowers made of fire that grants the user the power of fireball attacks.
