Fisher retainer worth it?

Been debating whether to swap my FSH retainer to another DoW/M or DoL, but figured I'd ask those who have FSH leveled if they feel it's worth it on their retainers. I have four at the moment.

Mine is pretty worthless. The only things she brings back are Mahi Mahi and catfish. I've gotten maybe two fat cats out of her.

I personally find my botanist retainer to be the more useless one.

I have a retainer for each disciple of hand and I usually only use fisher and miner... between grilled sweetfish to boost my healing accuracy to a8s and a7s levels by getting the salts and fish I can get the mats for seafood stew which fetch a pretty penny. Botanist is seldom ever used for me personally.

Fishing retainers were useful for obtaining flavor of the month minions to sell for millions of gil such as the Fat Cat and Gestahl. If you need certain Fishing mats, they can be useful if they are somewhat expensive on your server's market board.

I take it back, the one time she came in handy was when I needed silver sharks and hammerheads to make shark oil. Lots and lots of shark oil.

I'm keeping her as she is because I may yet need her...at some point...

I think it just matters whether or not you want seafood dish mats stocked and readily available mostly (or send straight to MB).

Fanged Clam, Blueclaw Shrimp, Rock Mussel, Rothlyt Oyster, Razor Clam, and the Blue Cloud Coral and Mogpom for INT/MND Grade 1 solvents.

For me the FSH retainer is still worth it, even though I confess FSH retainer isn't as valuable as it was in 2.x (too bad Pipira Pira & Coerthan Crabs can't be venture'd). I've considered switching the retainer to a different class a lot too, but haven't had pulled the trigger. The Exploration ventures seem to go very poorly for me too, but that may be RNG.

Another thing about FSH I like is I don't have to worry about crafting another O-Hand 3-star Luminous Fiber tool for him like my Miner/Botanist. That is appreciated /sigh

My 60 FSH retainer is my least used.

I personally find my botanist retainer to be the more useless one.

If they could bring back more than one bag of seeds per hour, a BTN retainer would be invaluable to any gardener. Seven hells, even when RNGesus is being a prick I can still net 6-8 of a targeted seed in an hour!

I believe a leveled FSH retainer can still bring back rare dyes. But I guess any retainer with sufficient iLv can do this. There's also fat cat...

I guess the reason to level FSH is so you don't have to fish. But in order to do that, you'll have to level a FSH retainer.
