Unable to collect optional items from delivery despite not owning them

Right, basically, bought Snow Attire from Mogstation and when I go to get it from the Moogle it just says I can't own more than one unique item. I don't own any of the items hence why I bought it. When I sent a support request it just got ignored and they told me to post here. Anyone who can help?

Have you done any part of the event quests? According to your avatar, you're wearing the snow hair right now so maybe make sure you don't have any piece of the outfit, and if you do just toss it and try again?

How the hell do you throw away a hairstyle?

The "hairstyle" is actually a headgear piece. Look through retainers and armoire to find it. Then you can get rid of it. Hope you don't have the rest of the set too. Would be terrbile to accidentally waste money like that. :/

I never knew that the hairstyle was a piece of head gear...? I would have expected that you got a consumable item the same way the hairstyles at the GS are distributed. If that's the case, the item itself wouldn't be the hairstyle, so you should still be able to move it to your inventory but you wouldn't be able to use it. I would think, anyways.

Regardless, the hairstyles from the lightning event are not head gear and are accessible only through the aesthetician. You wouldn't be able to throw it away, but if you were around during the time of the event and participated long enough to get one or two pieces of the gear set, then you would need to throw those out before you can take them from the mail box. If you've never participated in the event then it's definitely a glitch and I hope it gets fixed soon.
