How about Job Emotes?

I think there should be a pair of relatively easy quests that at the end grants a JOB EMOTE and a JOB POSE.

The emotes would be simple, an action that they preform in their normal, like the way a PLD thrusts his shield forward during Bulwark, or the Jump animation for DRG. The pose would be a perpetual emote and would again mimic a job action, like the casting animation of a BLM, or the Fist of Fire pose on a MNK.

Moonfire has proven people will do quests for emotes that are fun, so why not more? You of course would only have to do the quests once, and the emotes would change as you change jobs.

EMOTE IDEAS
PLD - Bulwark
DRG - Jump
BRD - Shoot an arrow
WHM - Cast a spell


POSE IDEAS
PLD - Sword up as when using Oaths
WHM - Perpetual "Cleric Stance" pose
BLM - LB pose
AST - "Bubble" pose
DRK - Unleash pose
BRD - Plays harp

It doesn't sound like what they're after to me. While b and v are job specific, it looks like op is asking for emotes to mimic specific job skills.

I'd like to see job-specific idle poses.

Would be nice to see the blade classes (PLD, DRK, NIN, WAR) sharpen their weapons on a whetstone.

Monk could meditate. Bard could act like he's priming an arrow to be fired or aiming (wouldn't want him playing the harp since that would get rather noisy with a group of bards).

Black mage could do the fire magic in the palm of his hand a la human torch from fantastic four

Not sure about the other classes since I haven't played them...but you get the idea!

We kind of already have this with the battle and victory pose.

Though it would be nice if summoner and scholar weren't the same.

But we have this too...when you /cpose with your weapon drawn.

But more would always be welcome.

Because I would use the Deathflare emote like Akh Morn and never stop. Ever.
