Master Stone, Job and Class Idea

Here is my idea for Sword Saint. It is based off the concept of Orlandu from Tactics with a smidgeon of XI skillchain gameplay.

I noticed I forgot to show Paladin in the gladiator branching line. Sorry, I don't want to go back and add it in the picture.

I don't understand peoples fascination with skill trees. Skill trees are just high maintenance jobs with less personality and limited individuality.
Look at SCH and SMN: SCH is in an amazing position due to the fact that they can't nerf the Arcanist skills because of SMN.

It baffles me why people would ask for a 'Paladin that can main heal' over 'An entirely new, sword and board job that can main heal'. It's pretty much the same thing - but without the class limitations built in. Try build a sword wielding healer from Gladiator? Not happening unless they drastically overhaul it - at which point you've reach the SCH/SMN issue and may as well invest the time in creating an entirely new job.

Classes are dead. Skill trees are dead. Get over it.

XI had RDM healer, dps, tank, etc., before community restraints made it simply support. XIV 1.x had 'make w/etf you want'. GW2 has multiple weapons per class allowing them to perform almost any role. Why the fixation with WoW?

And since when has being more like <a potentially good part of> WoW automatically been a bad thing?

    On topic:

I don't see much purpose in trying to increase class dependency. If it works for certain new job designs to come, or allows numerous shades of class/job playstyles that are each and in collective enjoyable, then so be it, but there's no need to try to match things up that much more than they are already.

What I can see as useful, perhaps, is experience or skills being shared or acquirable, respectively, between or from multiple classes, using a more general weapon type (ranged/two-handed/etc.) or role as a center.

each new job will have new weapon focus on that job

warcraft has almost complete abandon it talent tree. guild wars 2 in really trouble right now

warcraft start out 31 talents for it talent tree now it has less then that.

the orignal poster what abandon the armory system for Class system the armory system work to more or less an degree. the only mistake is how some of job where add such summoner and scholars. summoner and scholars should been separate class at begin of 2.0.

the Class system doesn't work if you notice through warcraft forum they raging nerf bat rage over one class or another. he want carbon copy warcraft class

in his system there is no Trinity system this ideal has meant with failure on many degree. Guild wars 2 an example of failure. the Trinity system work as well, people may not like it worst best system we have so far as Churchill said diplomatic. The Trinity system is worst system yet only system that work all other form of class system doesn't work. plus this be put FFXIV back into development again. ffxiv is doing very well it got 6 million players right now. how players would lose for this guy crazy ideal
