Achievement Unlocked: LOLGOON
This game has a serious problem - when you report facts, not even report, when you present an evidence of the said facts with names included it is considered naming and shaming... nope! The player has shamed themselves by their own actions so posting the chat log should not be considered naming and shaming at all... yet it is.
Some "naming and shaming" would be nice for a change tbh. Too many players are exploiting this nice immunity of having no track record and then the rest of the community has to suffer them because the report feature is ineffective.
The main reason why the Party Finder is not working for the harder content and so many groups disband after few wipes is caused by the players who ignore the comments.
Getting to the phase XYZ once does not mean you are ready to join parties to do XYZ.
Parties should spend most of the time doing the phase that is written in the comment not trying to get there.
I remember mining in ffxi when I came across a fellow miner who ended up mining in the same spot I was. back then this was considered a no no, but he was so frightened that I would rat him out over the internet and across the server that he tried paying me off with a darksteel ore. This game has a serious problem - when you report facts, not even report, when you present an evidence of the said facts with names included it is considered naming and shaming... nope! We may have a need for accountibility, but what you are looking for is playing with fire. It wouldn't take a lot of time before "some naming and shaming" turns into "whole broadcasts on social media" which would fuel harassment in game.

I guess I can kind of see where the angry player was coming from. Sounds like you were in a regular dungeon where nothing at all is a threat, and no amount of skill is even demanded from the players. The only times you ever die in those dungeons are from the tanks pulling too much or a healer completely not handling a simple but critical mechanic on boss fights (Satasha Hard, Slime -> Tail Screw for example). I have to wonder if the gameplay was such an issue that it was even worth bringing up given that we all know how people react to advice.
Beyond that, if you do argue with someone like this, you just encourage them, so don't do that next time. Just initiate the vote kick if it's that big of an issue. If they kick you instead, that might be a measure of injustice in the cosmic sense, but it does get you out of that group and allows you to queue again.
I really wish we could name and shame players who play terribly. Maybe then people would give two shits about their party members.
The only learning parties you can trust are the "learning from the phase 1" ones - anything beyond that is filled with players performing bellow required standard. It's hopeless and there aren't any tools to fix the trust issues when these are justified.
The community driven "justice" system might be flawed, but it at least seems like you have a chance to decrease the amount of uncooperative behavior - being it active or passive toxicity.
I wonder if the blacklists have something to do with their better savage clear rates...

I don't really believe this. Twitter and mob justice has shown otherwise where group think becomes group attack. Social media has really shown that people will only abuse that power, and people are already too quick to jump to accusations and personal attacks. They do this all very visibly and publicly while encouraging others to join in on the fun. Reddit's FFXIV forum can't even use the downvote button in the correct manner. I wouldn't give those people the ability to publicly name players if they can't handle an arrow mechanic properly.
I've heard rumors of JP players having a website or two that have server "blacklists" after enough evidence is collected against a player. Just curious, any truth to that?
1st you already knew the answer and came here to name shame and report them to the community. (have since edited out one name)Well this kind of speaks for itself.
I know there is no real way to report someone for hate speech as such due to the nature of cross server/platform and many of the same names. but people like that should not be allowed to freely act as seen above Without punishment of some kind.
Most the dungeon he/she was pulling trying to rush and also in most parts just stopped playing altogether and stood there.
If I am in the wrong in what I asked and said then tell me. but I do not think I am.
2nd You forgot to edit out the name of the other player that was harassing in the first place.
