I think that early october or late september is the best bet. Most patches are 3 months and a half away from each other, very rarely 3 month if ever.

I think that they said it was a special case for 2.5 to 3.0 because it was the first expansion and they needed a break before releasing it, but for the next expansions they will be more prepared and shouldn't need such a break.
