To be honest, I think that's the main reason most people are willing to pay so much for them. The fact you get a physical object certainly helps though. Granted, some are the opposite way, but they're quite a small group if cash shop history in any game has anything to say.

My plush arrived, it came with a nice plastic wallet thing, with instructions to ...wash? In Japanese >.< and then stuck under a secret tab is the code. I'm off to work now but yay I have my ears!

I want the ingame item, but that Plushie is pretty ugly, in my opinion. They should just sell the ingame item at the Mog Station, for those of us that do not want the Plushie.
