Servers are Lagging

I experienced the weirdest lag event today whilst teleporting within the Gold Saucer. The screen froze for a good 15-20 seconds then the new zone loaded but I was invisible. I ran around for about 10 seconds before the teleporting in animation occurred. I've never seen that happen before. I run a poo-hot PC setup so it is definitely not client side & I'm on Sky Broadband from the UK which doesn't use Level 3 routing.

Whatever is up it looks to be internal to the SE server farm as it's exclusive to FFXIV & my connection is rock steady with nothing else using for it. Eventually I got a 90k but that was long after I'd teleported back to The Goblet & gone AFK. I'm on Leviathan.

Like I said, never encountered anything like this is my 2+yrs in FFXIV.

UPDATE - Just performed a new trace & it appears Sky Broadband *do* now route via Level 3, at least on occasion. Why they'd suddenly choose to go via that crap is beyond me, especially as they've not done so before.

Level 3 may well be a common factor, although I'm not showing any packet loss or latency increases on those hops at the moment.

Well day 2 on Coeurl and got Titan in Trial. Landslide, move out of the way and 5 secs later I go flying off despite moving far away. I don't even know why I am attempting to play =/

It's been borderline unplayable for me this afternoon. Other games work fine online, but not FFXIV.
