Poll: lets say they implement the mounts

Hey now, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
Though, I kinda agree with you. Chocobos aren't the only mounts in FF. Magitech could work but I don't think it fits in the current world we are in. Maybe after 2.0. We will have to see.

yeah im not trying to go against any opinions, im just stating what i know to be fact in the FF universe.

when i first saw that vid i was extatic that we were gonna have other animal mounts. but then i saw the amount of them and which ones they were.
that right there is when things start to get a little generic and diluted and starts to loose identity in my opinion.

Yoshi really throws my off some times. hes totally against gender rerolls at 2.0 because its lol "too shocking" to him yet it makes perfect sense to tame and ride bat winged heads and clunky bipeds? thats some major inconsistant thinking in my opinion.

magitek aside, id prefer them focus on current Chocobos for the time being and not release any other animal mounts until theyve created a whole new animal mount, not current mobs.

Honestly I don't know.. Depends on if we get a nice story quest to give reason to the mob being loyal to you..
Actually I wouldn't mind a Drake (while/gray plz lol).. Given we have seen them domesticated by the Amal'jaa.

But overall I'm still against it for the most part

As Esk said I hope they give us a quest for get the mount, not just that it appears of nothing.
Btw I dont think that implement some mob mounts (not every mob in the game) just for ppl who stay all the way til 2.0 will make FF a wowclone, cause all the other new players will ride a choco, and the dev team can make chocos more important than the mob mounts with breeding.

for my post, I wasn't being serious when I said "Magitek only"
I would probably favor it over any mounts, but that aside.
I should tell you Magitek armor has been in XIV from the beginning, when you 1st hear about Garlamed.
So if you think they should or should not work on it, would be stupid to mention how Galrean soldiers devastate their opponents using Magitek armor, and never actually show it in any fights.

I'm opposed to Arihman or Goobues solely because of (1) arihman can't fly with something so heavy on them, and the evil thing. (2) goobues shouldn't be so easy to tame, along side the tiny legs not being a good means of travel.

I am however, in favor of a unique FFXIV only mount as well. (along side Chocobo customization.)
