since we’ve finished the mount system we asked if we can include special mount for those players who stay. It’s kind of dangerous showing this but since it’s new info...

Of course we’re going to make it so you can ride it in 2.0 but you can only get it this time.

Eh? How would a few one-time-only mount options stop anyone from breeding chocobos?

Chocobos will still be the primary mode of transport, because most people (those who start playing after 2.0), won't be able to get these mob mounts. That, and chocobos will have special equipment, participate in battle, and will have physical customization through breeding.
