    Change to play control suggestions

My first MMO was FFXI and I appreciate how the developers want to stay true to their roots by keeping that play style here. The problem with doing this is that compared to today's standards, the game feels very slow and frustrating when navigating your character through the world.

Some changes that would help is to loosen controls up on the character movement and allow better control when navigating tight areas. Currently, when you try to run by some tight areas, characters get hung easily on objects due to slow turning.

Allow characters to jump. I have a beast of a Gladiator who is ready to take on red level mobs at will, but a simple 2 inch rise in terrain bests him.

I know that many people compare this to other MMO's, but with so much competition out there FFXIV needs more to it to bring players in. I suggest that the developers play some of these other MMO's a little just to get a feel for how they control and then try to integrate this into FFXIV.

But if developers tried to get a feel for other MMOs and integrate it into FFXIV, it wouldn't be FFXIV anymore. The development team said themselves, they don't want to copy other MMOs. If they wanted it to be like WOW, EverQuest, or any other MMO they would have done so from the beginning.

And as for jumping, I really don't see how big of a difference that would make to game play. I know a lot of players want there to be jumping implemented, but I am still unsure as to why. To me, it wouldn't make a difference at all.
