Can we have NVIDIA's Ansel please!?...

I want to take super high resolution screenshots and we are missing from NVIDIA's new Ansel feature!...

I've read online it took like 200 lines of code or maybe less to add the feature to some other existing games out there so it sounds like it should be relatively easy and quick!...

Square Enix, please look forward to it!...

I don't see why not, and it could be useful for screenshots. But ultimate it's at the discretion of SE to decide whether or not we can have it.

But at the same time, with screenshot contests it could create an "unfair advantage". I know, this seems VERY silly to say but at the same time it would be true.

200 lines of code in and... 2000 lines of code broken somewhere else Adding these features are rarely simple, less so quick. (AFAIK) Didn't it took Heavensward for them to add in directx 11?

Still, I can see the freecam mayhap be a possible option and whatnot. Considering SE added in a idling camera thingamajig when you go AFK. *Shrug* I certainly won't mind, more reason for me to take screenshots!

It's a cool feature but it doesn't fit in every game. There are things in game dev do not want you to see with such a free camera. Like invisible walls, non existent textures and areas from specific angles etc. Ansel is also a pretty limited feature only GTX 10xx owners have for now. So only a fragment of FFXIV's playerbase. I do not see it coming any time soon due to this.

For those who dont know, Ansel is basically a 360 degree spherical screenshot. You can share basically an image of everything around you (front/back/sides/up/down) to other people.

Yes indeed my mistake. But still I would prefer what CookieMonsta said. And perhaps they should work on HQ textures pack *cough*.
