For my AST weapon it took me 5 full runs through. The 4th and 5th run I never got an upgrade apart from the one you get when finishing floor 50.
Not that nice when you are 29/28 after 3 runs.

I ran Floor 1-10 three times and got the armor to 30. Doing 1-10 three times seems to be a time-saver but again, all dependent on RNG. Read: I got lucky.

It really is to much rng. They should make the silvers guarantee at least 1 point of upgrade excluding traps. And if necessary increase the points you need. Maybe 50-50. Least that way you. Know your making progress. Where 4o floors of unchanged is just infuruating

It's not that much RNG at all, considering you can skip out on Nid EX, level up a job, AND get a weapon (though pretty weak now) all at the same time. I can basically promise you that by the time a person does the first two, with leveling being done through dungeons or fates, I'd have a weapon or 3 maxed out.

Salt levels can die now though patch is here and ilevel 240 weapons for everyone.

I just did 30 floors of PoTD with only +1 to my gear. My weapon already capped out on floor 50 before the reset which left me with 5 armor points to get. I'm now currently on floor 31 and out of those 30 floors only 1 chest gave me a point. Just came out of a floor with 5 chests with no points. Please tell me how this RNG is okay.

The RNG is stricter the higher your gear is compared to the floor number, so you can't just grind the easy ones repeatedly for max stats. Since that you had 25 armour and were running 1-30 it isn't likely to give you an increase. Higher floors will give you a better chance to upgrade to higher levels.
