Its hard and big always better?

So.. Yeah... I have a lot of time without do endgame content and im no sure if hit hard and big numbers its better than more speed of atack Or if some jobs are better with more speed than others.

Usually you want attack power over attack speed, with the exception being black mage. attack speed drains your tp faster. Most classes use crit and det instead of speed.

Thanks for your answer :3, this apply to SMN too? I remember an old patch note were spell speed afect your dots damage, i don know if im wrong... To the other answers... I like you two xD

SS does affect dot damage, you have to be careful not to have too much or you will start to clip your dots in your rotation

I think that was changed with Heavesnsward, since it was causing some issues with SMNs running out of MP on FCoB and being rather useless on ths DoT front.
