Please buff the Legendary Yokai Medal droprate

I am having trouble getting all the weapons. I have 5 more left to get and the last 3 I know require 30 medals each. I work 5 days a week I don't have time to play FFXIV all day every day and it takes me around 8 hours to get 15 medals.

So on my day off I set off to do 1 whole weapon I did Venocet. I took me from 10am to 6pm to get all 15. That is 8 hours for 1 weapon. Sometimes I would go 15 fates without a drop. For people who can play all the time this isn't a problem for them but for working people it is. Most of the days I only have maybe 2-3 hours to play so I get 2-3 a day usually.

This is due to the fact not too many people are doing fates having to solo them means they take so much longer.

I feel the drop rate should be changed to 100% on Legendary Medals.

This is a limited time event and we only have 1.5 months left I am not sure if I am going to even finish in time due to the randomness of it.

I would also like to see this done as I work and have a family. After doing the math, doing all of the weapons would put you at 500 to 700 FATES. I would really love to do this but with the current difficulty, it is better setup for a permanent event rather than a temporary one. Once I saw how much time it would take, I just said to myself, nope, nope, nope, not doing it, WAY too much time.

Zumi is correct, for a limited time event, significant adjustments should be made.

Unless it is intentionally this hard because they want us to buy the rest of the weapons we can not gather at $5.00 each in a few months on the Mog Station...

Won't happen the guy from Yo-Kai wanted it to be hard/time consuming to get all the weapons and 2nd mount and is good friends with Yoshi.

It is about a 30% drop rate, people are averaging 800 fates to get them all. Took me 720 fates for them all.

If they did buff it now all those who have completed it already would complain how it is unfair to change it midway through the event.

It's not really unfair in that you got to use the mount and weapons way before other people.

You are right. There is the key factor that this is a limited event, and the closer the event comes to ending, the bigger task 800 fates becomes, especially as less people are doing it because they are either done or burnt out. The event will need an extra injection of incentive in order to make it worthwhile towards the end. It won't happen yet but I can see something happening in mid september.

The event hasn't been out for long - I feel like this would be a massive middle finger to those who grinded so hard. They've barely had chance to use the weapons and mounts themselves.

Do I think they should've done Yo-Kai differently from the start? Of course. Do I think they should buff it halfway through? No, not in my opinion.

SE does have a history of making a fate grind shorter, take atmas and crystals for example. Since this is a 2 month event they could reduce the difficulty around the start of the 2nd month. In all honestly it shouldn't take a full work day 8 hours to get one weapon.

They also did that with permanent items, not limited time. I agree the grind is a bit much and after 6 weapons I don't even want to look at a fate. It would be nice to see an increase (and just because you all grinded it out the first week is your own fault) but I don't see it happening.

They only buffed these months after, though. The event is too short to start messing with the drop rates in my opinion. (And no, I don't have all of the weapons and haven't grinded for them)

Just my opinion though. I wouldn't be butt hurt if they did buff it, just considering those that have already grinded.

Took me 1 1/2 weeks of modest grind to get all the weapons. A total of about 750 fates. There were times in the early morning or late night when I was doing fates by myself and the longest I gone without a legendary medal was 15. would I do it again, no, is it impossible, no, just sit back and watch movies and spam that 2-3 button combo.
