I can well believe it is hard, if not impossible, to complete if you have a busy schedule with work and family life, but that is not to say the event should be changed to accommodate your personal circumstances.

There's a lot of grinding in this game, you may just have to accept that getting all the weapons is not for you, and pick the ones you like most
I find it much easier once the zerg loses interest.

how so? I've tried farming in certain zones and it takes forever to kill fates. I get that its hard when there are hundreds of people doing them, but it is equally hard doing fates alone, which is what the state of it is on Hyperion.

Since the fates scale up in difficulty depending on how many people participated with their last completion, soloing fates becomes viable once the difficulty goes all the way down. Though if a wandering player decides to help you out, the next time the fate spawns then the fates difficulty will rise a bit to make up for having more players.

    Exactly.

Imagine it like this. Someone asks us all to come and work for them and he'll pay us. The people who work for him get paid. Some of them say 'I can't work for you, I don't have the time. You're still going to pay me though right?'

    It's the exact same concept.
