of course, this depends on how easy it is to charge the limit break meter, but you can see the potential game breaker there.
Hi Aenarion,

Definitely a good point. It all depends on how much visual people want to see vs. just straight utility.

At the end of the day, if it was just about pure DPS, then SE should just make all Attack Animations last, say, 0.5 Seconds and just spit out Damage #'s (extreme example), so no one's slowed down.

If this Grand Attack were rare (like a 2 Hour), would people want to see the grandeur and panache of say, a Shiva Diamond Dust once in a while? Or Cloud's Omnislash?

Would it be off-putting to your friends while you're in party if, once every 2 hours or so, they saw an awesome, over-the-top Attack (maybe with a stylish camera treatment) that lasted, say, 3 - 5 seconds?

I never get tired of seeing Square's trademark Grand Attacks, so I'm probably biased. Heck, even seeing the new Chaos Thrust (LNC) for the 500th time still adds some "Heck yah! That's so cool!" feeling for me. (and it's not me firing off the Chaos Thrust (I don't play LNC)).
