You can turn our snake eyes into your lucky 7, or maybe you’ve been burned before and it’s more like a hard 10. About Us
We are a static focused on a balance between end-game content and fostering an environment that makes it fun to log-in and bang your head against progression. We won’t be in the world first or server first races, but we are committed to always improving and maximizing the time we spend together working on content.

Here are more specifics about us:

- Current progression – working on a8s
- Raid times – 9:30pm - 11:30pm PST (we use discord to communicate scheduling and sometimes flex the times a bit later or earlier to accommodate schedules)
- Raid days – Standard: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Flex: Thursday, Sunday (we primarily run Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. However, we will flex to Thursday or Sunday on some weeks to accommodate availability and
people’s real life schedules)
- Communication – We use discord for scheduling, research, and general out of game discussion and TS for in-game coordination
- Current Composition – PLD, WAR, WHM, SCH, SMN, DRG, MCH/BRD, ?(this could be you)

Picking a Winner
So, you want to start Rollin’ Pips?! That’s awesome! Before you pick up the dice and roll with us, below is some information that might help you weight the dice a little and stack the odds in your favor:

- Skill – We value your ability to perform optimally at your job over your specific role. Candidate skill will be a primary consideration in our selection process. Ultimately, we are looking for a candidate that can consistently execute mechanics, maximize dps uptime, minimize collateral raid impact, and “/random” at regular intervals in between pulls.

- Gear – You need to be ready and able to immediately participate in the hardest content currently in the game (other than possibly Cuff-a-Cur). As such, your gear set should be complete with appropriate melds and have all the bells and whistles. Extra points for quality glamour and ability to wear hair in a Fro.

- Preferred Job – Our retiring team member played Monk. He was exceptionally good. Another exceptionally good Monk would be nifty. We would also be interested in an exceptionally good Black Mage, Ninja, or (possibly) MCH/BRD. Our tanks and a healer also are capable of switching roles to dps if a candidate can impress us enough to make us desire to switch roles, but an applicant choosing this path is making a bold low probability bet. If you want to put your chips on the line for this, we’d need to have a serious discussion first.

- Schedule – You may have noted our flex scheduling. We try to raid 6 hours a week in 3 two-hour sessions and prefer the “Standard” raid times listed. However, we will flex our schedule for need or cause. For need flexing occurs on scheduled days to accommodate advance notice of a conflict with a real life. We also flex our scheduled time for need to accommodate occasional random life occurrences that are going to make someone late to raid. We sometimes “try” to log in earlier to accommodate maintenance or someone needing to get up early the next day, but this is rarely effective.

We flex the schedule for cause typically when the group agrees to get extra work in on progression if we are close to a kill and/or at the beginning of a raid cycle to get off on the right foot. As a result of all this, we will prefer a candidate generally available from 9:30pm - 12:00am PST Sun-Thurs.

- Temperament – We an upbeat candidate who can mix focus with frivolity. While we rarely criticize each other, the ideal candidate needs to be capable of taking and giving constructive criticism. We also set a high bar for comedic interaction which consists largely of puns, lewd/lascivious comments, and the occasional macro spam. It’s all in good fun and the group is respectful of boundaries, but if you don’t like it when people say ridiculous things to get a laugh, you might want to reconsider an application with us. Lastly, we don’t often replace members, and we prefer to not be treated as a stepping stone or placeholder static. We aren’t interested in revolving door applicants, and would appreciate you to consider your application carefully if you have commitment issues.

- Scholarly Acumen – If you are still reading this post, that’s a good sign. You’ve got the ability to wade through paragraphs of words in order to maybe win a spot in a raid group. Because we raid (comparatively) very little on a weekly basis, we put in a lot of time looking at logs, watching videos, smacking striking dummies, discussing strategy outside of runs, and generally trying to improve ourselves outside of raids. Raiding isn’t just about showing up. It’s about pushing yourself and your team to be better, and one of the most important ways to do that is outside of the established raid time.
