Looking to change classes, what do you suggest?

WOW LNC seems to be THE most popular class to play... Is it because of their big amount of damage? When going solo, how well does a LNC do? Can you take up on many mobs at the same time easily?

PUG looks like lots of fun too but what is it going to be like in the long run, when you turn into a Monk... where do you fit in in a party? Is it going to be a damage dealer and if so how well do you guys expect it to be compared to other classes/jobs? Also while playing solo, how good are they?

Other DDs (okay not ARC) can match up to LNC, but the ease at which LNC can put out the numbers is why it's widely used. We've had PGL on Ifrit, and they work their ass off but can compete in numbers. But it's the same as the 1.18 ARC frenzy for DH. Come 1.20, something else will be the norm.

When going solo, how well does a LNC do?

You're better off with MRD for 1v1 soloing.

I was pretty set on Gladiator myself till they broke it this patch. Now I've been tanking as Marauder. I'm going to give tanking Ifrit a whirl as a Pugilist once I get the knuckle drop from him and get a gear set for it just for giggles.

Really, until 1.20 or even 1.21 with jobs, it's just play whatever is strongest for the content at the time. Hopefully they can make fights to where a certain class doesn't have an overwhelming advantage than the others going forward. I think it's pretty silly to stack fights with 4-5 of the same class to efficiently win the fight.

Right now I'm playing GLD and I'm not stopping until 50 (only 3 levels to go.. woot)...

After that, I'm probably doing marauder because I can reuse alot of my GLD gear for it.

Though PUG and LNC are fun as heck too.. never know..

All that said, I'd suggest MRD since that combined with GLD is the prerequisite for Paladin.
