    Error Code 20512-25008 Unable to download new patches.

    I recently had to replace my PS4 because it short circuited during a thunderstorm and was beyond repair. So I'm trying to reinstall Final Fantasy XIV with the same PSN that was linked to my SE account, and i keep on getting the above error code whenever I try downloading the patches. And since i can't patch my game, i Can't play it. What am I supposed to do?

    I'm having the same exact problem here; I recently bought the game for PS4, included both ARR and the expansion.

    The download keeps stopping at around 1050MB before bringing up the error screen: "Unable to download patch files."

    I've been trying everything I can, such as resetting the router, using a LAN cable, changing DNS, IP, and MTU settings, ...to no avail.

    I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, but that also didn't work.

    Apparently this has been an issue for months now, and Square hasn't fixed it yet for some reason.

    Is it possible since I had to replace my PS4 that the SE account doesn't recognize it, and glitches out or prevents the patch updates with my new PS4?

    Kanon - the issue is not with you, your PS4, or your ISP, though square is going to tell you that all of these are the issues. They're going to ask that you jump through a thousand hoops rather that dedicate resources to fixing a known issue of theirs.

    I've been doing this a couple of days for a new PS4 for my wife so that we can replace her broken computer. All I've gotten from Square is stonewalled - first a wall of text on forwarding TCP ports, and then DISCONNECTED from the chat without them allowing me to tell them we have another PS4 that works just fine in the house. Then, on a call to them (thankfully not on hold for long), I was told that "they've gotten some reports of this in the midwest, it's kind of random, and you should try again on of peak hours."

    Square needs to allocate people to fixing this issue. It may not be completely widespread, it may not be affecting ALL of your customers, but it is affecting SOME. And sooner or later those some, including myself and my wife, are going to leave the toybox. If you actually value your customers, then you should probably get to work.

    Also, would it hurt to maybe respond to a single one of these forum posts?

    One of my friends is trying to get back in the game and they are having the exact same situation. I've looked all over these forums for a solution and have found none whatsoever. It has to be on their end.

    SE, I'm a bit disappointed in your 'robot' responses and would like to know some way for PC users to be able to play again!
