Name change with race change

In the feed back it was stated:

Q: With the launch of 2.0, will we be able to change our character’s gender? Can we change names?

A: Are you sure this is a good idea? Continue to give us feedback on the forums! As for the name, currently it may be too long… If we implement the ability to change names, we may want to reduce the length. We’re still thinking about it, so please give us feedback.

I think a name change would be a great idea since the race we change to might not fit with the name we currently have (e.g. female to male character or from cat to new hyur)

I would love to change my name when the new 2.0 comes out i believe that if you change your char your alter ego changes as well, i made my char name based of what my char looks like. If it becomes a one word name that is fine as well. Please SE allow us to change our names as well!

It's a great idea and should be offered as a service in the future, SE would make a lot of money that way.

I think this should be a one off thing only , being able to change your name constanly would defeat the point of building up reputation.

I know plenty of people who played a race, that had only 1 gender, and would rather play that race, with the corresponding gender.

It's only fair.

But as for a general allotment of a 1 time change (unless the horned race comes out after 2.0) it should be allowed anyways. Just in case you find out the race ur playing isn't you. (I know it isn't REALLY you)

So in short, If your name isn't very fitting for your race/gender now, It would be the preferred way to go.

Change gender ok; that is possible and fair; also nothing effect much. Change race ? nop that is a bad idea. Change name ? a BIG no no; people in black list; would love to change their name.

Well I am not an expert in coding but I am pretty sure your name would stay in blacklist even after the name change, your name would just be a different name but on the same list.

Yeah, friends list, blacklist, LS list, etc would all still work.

The only problem is you won't know who they are then.

I think that you should be aloud to change race or gender if they add new races, gender or even changes to what you can look like. I for one would be upset if a new race came out and the only way i could play it would be to start a new character.
