I know better than to use it. I main WHM. I leveled the others to see the story.

-Levequests do not give enough experience. I spent my login time doing a lot of them, they are terrible (and yes, I was playing at the highest difficulty setting)
-I already said I like the dungeons and I have no problem with running them again... it's how many times and how the drops are distributed that is a problem.
-That is not what I meant. Those quests are exactly like 1-50.
-I have no interest in making gil. The fun is in the puzzle for me, but to getting to the puzzle is tedious once you get past 50. It takes so much time and gil and grind to get to the puzzle that it's just not interesting anymore because overmelding your gear and farming materias is not a fun activity.
-I have no probems with min. ilvl required. Like I already said those are placed to help the players access to content and guide them.


I don't, I already said that. I want to do things at the pace that I want like any other game out there and I don't want to waste my time running something because an item that I want is there and not getting anything that will help me get it. Have you ever grinded a dungeon for its weapon? It's a pain. And I still remember how much time and wasted runs it took me to get the complete Bogatyr's healing set... thank god I never cared for TT.

1) Levequest-exp are balanced around the time invested into them. There are other ways to level, and they buffed dungeon-exp by a lot. You're insisting on doing something you dont like and then complain about how much you're annoyed by it when you could just pick something else to do...?
2) In a way they've already listend to that complain - but you, ofc, cant know that since you havent played past ARR... we got tokens from the new raids to trade in for the gear we want, tokens from the new primals to trade in for weapons and now even the mounts. The designs of the old dungeon gear are used for crafted pieces, so you can get those without farming. You're complaining about an issue that HAS been addressed - just not noticed by you because you've never played that far
3) How do you know that? You've never even seen one. You cant give feedback about something you dont know
4) Cool, you dont have an interest in making gil then - others do. And again: You havent played past level 50. Dont give feedback about things you havent even tried... Overmelding and farming got a lot "better" - it still requires time and effort, but leveling from 50 to 60 gives you new puzzles to solve. Getting materias got better (hello, airships!) etc. etc. You're like one and a half year late with those complains.

You can do things the pace you want? No one is forcing you to hurry. No one is forcing you to cap your tomes or earn tons of gil or have the new glamour shinies the day the patch drops. And no, I have never grinded a dungeon for a specific weapon/gear - because I dont want to ruin my game with that. (I have my i240 relic however and I care a great deal about TT - I'm doing those at MY pace though and only run content/play cards when I feel like it). I can agree with you that it would be nice to get tokens from dungeons for the gear you want... but I also see how its making them special to keep them rare. Same goes for minions and mounts. For me a lot of fun I have with gear/glamour, mounts, minios is because they are rare and not some dirt laying around for everyone. I was really upset when they removed PvP-ranks on gear and I surely love my Fenrir that took me like 8 months to get. Each time I saw my amount of MGP go up a little I got excited!

But maybe we really are a bit different and for you all the fun only comes from HAVING stuff and not from achieving it... thats fine, but MMOs are probably not the place for you then (also: stay away from Diablo-like games, I hear they do the same and are loved by a lot of people...)

I don't see the merit of 'playing' a game by reaching the end via paying additionally for it instead of enjoying the content it has to offer.

If you're looking for a P2W game, there are hundreds out there where you can roll out your credit card for 'advantages'.

Thank god, FFXIV is not one of those....... yet

1)I am pointing a flaw in the leveling system and how it could be improved, it has nothing to do with wether I like it or not. Levequests have great potential that is not being tapped because their poor exp output and rewards means no one is doing them. I don't need you to tell me not to do what I don't like, I am not subbed precisely for that reason. There are pages and pages of people asking to make old/overlooked content relevant. This game has an abudance of it, levequests especially.
2)I could not care less about HW, I have no interest in it. I am talking about AAR. Nothing has been adressed.
3)Why do you think I have not? Besides, people have already suggested something similar so it clearly did not change with HW (which again, you keep bringing in the discussion like I was talking about that)
4)I am not. Again, I gave feedback on what I played. Stop putting words in my mouth. If you do not understand my posts avoid replying to them and save yourself the embarassment.

This won't ever be the case not matter how many times you repeat it. Stop projecting things you want to see in my posts.

Guess what? Those old/overlooked content called leveling dungeons and leveling process in general with levequest being included, will be less relevant because you suggested that experience points can be gained/bought from cash shop..

Or... cash shop and leveling dungeons are catered to two different groups of people. Very few people do levequests already because there is nothing interesting to them except exp, and the exp they give is terrible. Adding a quicker method to level up does not affect them at all because there already is.

Stop acting like no one enjoys leveling and everybody would rather buy levels instead. If you really believe that, it says a lot about what you really think of this game while you're telling me that everything is fine. And let's not pretend there aren't at least two threads in the very first page suggesting leveling to be made a lot quicker than it is and trimming down story quests from the 2.x patches. You are acting like starting with a lvl 1 toon and getting to 50 by doing msq only or starting with a lvl 50 toon and doing msq only makes any kind of difference - as if you still didn't have to do all the msq dungeons, class and job quests lvlsynched. People already overlevel content all the time while leveling up and the game takes care of it already. Lvlsynch does not care if it's by 2 or 20 levels.

Cash shop tomes is absurd lol. The point of the cash shop is to offer things that don't let players get ahead. Hence minions/glamours.

A levequest revamp would be cool though, maybe.

I see an awful lot of new leafs in world and in my free company we're had a number of people come back and some have re-subbed. How long they'll stay remains to be seen.

But... why would and should they adress "problems" with ARR when we all moved on with HW? Your feedback is late, there is no need for them to change ARR content anymore because its not relevant for them or for us as players... So, since you are not interested in the new stuff they're developing you are certainly not a person that can give relevant feedback.
I believe something you do not realize is: HW isnt an expac that adds completly new and different to the game and can be ignored if you dont like it. Its more like a giant patch (that you have to pay for, once) thats adds tones of new stuff. Why would you want to play ARR but ignore HW? Thats like stopping after 2.0, ignoring all patches that haven been added afterwards and complain that there isnt enough to do...
(Also: Why do I think you havent played jobquests behind level 50? Because those require HW, sooo... you can not play them with ignoring the expac)

And, the reason I never "grinded" for a specific piece of gear isnt that I really never did that - its more that I was never eager and stubborn enough and felt the need to really, really earn a bunch of pixels right away... I have farmed and grinded for gear, I've done almost every grind in this game but I've never cared enough about it to let a grind like that ruin my fun and enjoyment.

Because you are still playing ARR, because new players don't have to have it as bad as I did, becuase an ARR sub is not worth less than an HW sub... look at the patch notes, they actually do still make addition and changes to ARR. SE knows better than you. Stop trying to speak for them and failing miserably.

We are on the internet. I can know everything about HW without playing it. I actually do research things before talking about them, even more if I intend to purchase them.

Good for you. I actually have things to do and can't waste a month chasing after a glamour piece I will wear for 5 days before I decide to change my look again.
