...I will tell you again, since you dont seem to have been reading this: They need to keep lockouts and RNG because otherwise they simply cant release enough content to keep us busy. Okay, you dont want to be kept busy. You dont want to log in every day. You probably dont want to pay a sub every month - oh... oh... yeah, okay...I started buying glamour when I dropped crafting because it had become too tedious. You failed to quote the rest of my posts where I suggested they need to drop all this lockout and rng nonsense. If drop rates on mats were decent, I'd make everything myself like I was before 2*.
It's funny that you are assuming that if SE started gil and tomestones, half the playerbase would buy them and stop doing what they're doing now. If they were having fun crafting and doing roulettes, why would they not still do them? If they are, they'd keep doing it. Or maybe they are not....
Half the fun comes from getting your reward, wouldnt you say? We need this carrot - why should I run the same dungeon more than once when there isnt any reward to it?
I'm not crafting because pressing a few buttons is fun - I'm crafting because for me its fun to provide other people with gear and items. Some items are "fun" and valuable because not everyone and their mom can just get them so WHEN you finally earn them they're something special that not everyone has glamoured.
And I dont what you're talking about "drop rates not being decent"? They totally "fixed" the favour system (as in: making this stuff drop from Aqua etc.). I've been crafting all the time - and yes, sometimes it sucks. But you gave up as soon as it got a little harder... I remember that one friend who wanted the Kirimu coat and I offered to buy the mats for it but he instisted on earning them himself because he wanted this feeling of "earning it himself"
A game, specially an MMO, isnt only about always having a fun and happy time - sometimes you just get a reward for hanging in there and putting a little work and effort into it... and that whats making those rewards feel so good and special

It's a thread I opened about my suggestions for the game so I don't know why you expected to read anything other than what I do and don't do. Maybe you should go elsewhere if you want to read one that doesn't revolve around my my experience. Unlike some of you, I don't speak for anyone else but me.

When you make a suggestion you kind of have to take the rest of the player base into consideration. I thought that was obvious.

I started a longer reply to you but... no, a game should only be about having a fun and happy time, that's what games are for. If the "effort" and "work" you need to put are not fun the game is a failure.A game, specially an MMO, isnt only about always having a fun and happy time
If you're all telling me that this game is not supposed to be fun well then...
I know. You need to tell the other one who thought if half the playerbase stopped doing roulettes, no one would get tomes anymore. I stopped doing roulettes months before unsubbing. You realize there are a myriad of ways to collect tomes right?
Gearing quickly is not the issue. Ilvls are way inflated for anything but raids anyway. It's about the specific items you can or can't get.Yes, caps can be annoying if you want your gear quickly

No game is only about fun and having a happy time... the first Final Fantasy I've ever played is FFX. I've defeated the Dark Aeons. Before doing that I spended countless hours of grinding to get my celestial weapons and get my team up. Boy, that was boring - but the reward was worth it for me. A simple game like Memory isnt fun all the way along - its fun when you find a pair. Pokemon isnt fun all the way along - sometimes you're looking for that one pokemon you want to have, running around in one spot, waiting for it to appear... I cant think of one game that I've played that was only fun and a happy time all way through, but thats okay because that makes rewards feel more special and rewarding. Whats so great about just getting stuff thrown in your face instead of working towards it and having that feeling of earning something?I started a longer reply to you but... no, a game should only be about having a fun and happy time, that's what games are for. Still eager to hear what it is that you enjoy about a game or used to enjoy about this game btw... I believe you never told us?
(Right now I can only suppose its having a lot of shinies and stuff without doing anything for it except throwing money at the company making the game...)
Edit: They did, my bad for not noticing. But since they dont enjoy running dungeons more than once to get what they want, I can only repeat: You seem to look for a single-RPG experience in an MMO. And you seem to overlook that you're not playing alone. Besides that fact that SE wants us to keep playing, they also have to make sure that there are always enough people running the dungeons for those who are doing it for the first time - so they're giving us rewards and such to run said content again. This game isnt only about me, but it isnt only about you either. If you dont want to farm and grind - you dont have to do that. I know a lot of people who arent and have come to terms with not getting some shinies because those are for people who "deserve" them.

You're the one upset that my opinions on the game revolve around my experiences. I thought that much was obvious and yet here you are, complaining.
I also don't have to take into consideration any of you, because my suggestions are not direct to you. If you wanna butt in and share your thoughts you're free to, but you're not the target audience. That much should have been obvious too. It's not all about you, you know?
How are your suggestiongs not directed towards us, as in "anyone else whos playing this game"?You're the one upset that my opinions on the game revolve around my experiences. I thought that much was obvious and yet here you are, complaining.

Right now I'm only happy that I - more or less - like the way the game is... because that means I've found a game I like - hearing your complains: Good luck to you finding one you will enjoy more - without feeling the need to tell the team behind it "Hey, change the very core of your system because I dont like it"

You're either delusional or trolling.. news flash! You've come to a public forum suggesting something that will affect the entire playerbase! Don't want people 'butting in'? Don't come onto the FFXIV forums in front of people who play the game you're making a very selfish suggestion on and expect only the devs to read your thread and get salty when people don't agree with you.
... just wow.

You're a very narrow-minded little Lalafell.
A mentor stole my house, slapped me across the face, and raised my ping from 15 to 30. Literally unplayable.
