I enjoyed* the Yo-kai Crossover Event so much that I got all the weapons twice!

I like how in this game "hard" translates to "RNG, tedious, and grind" when not referring to Savage/Extreme battles.

Have you played any other MMO? Every other MMO I've ever played (and I've played a lot of them) all are RNG based. It's not like there is another option out there if you want to play a MMO.

As for the event, I'm one of the few that actually enjoyed it. Was a lot of fun running around with 20-ish other players and slaughtering the FATEs.

So far I got all the weapons on my main but just did the initial quest and grabbed 1 minion on my alts.

The completionist in me wouldn't allow me to skip the event entirely in spite of how much I hate FATE grinding. I can only hope that most people were more sane than me and this event got enough complaints + low participation to prevent SE from pulling more grinds like this in future seasonal events.

The sad thing is that its not even hard to get..its just so boring and on top of that involves so much RNG. You know at least with the primal birds I just can take a nice break from it and try them later again or maybe even only do it half a hour per week and still get them at the end. (And with the tokens you now have a safety net that you will get something out of 99 runs..) With this event you have to grind it everyday if you know that you cant play a lot of hours or you have to grind a lot of hours per day if you are really unlucky and the times runs out. And at the end of day you may not even get all weapons thanks to bad luck or things that are beyond your power to change.

The Yokai guy seems to have quite the different opinion then me whats makes a content fun and hard at the same time.

Nobody will go into a MMO with the expectation of no grind at all..but there is still a difference between grinds..heck Anima weapons are a grind and yet I can at least do them on my own pace which means that I wont burn myself out, unlike I did with this event..

Why do it, though? It's a mount from a show you don't even like that you won't care about in a week. Log out and play another game when you're done with anything else--let your sub lapse if need be as I have in the past. Speak with your time and money.

i've never heard of Yo-kai before this event, i assume that's one reason why they did it.

i got 1 weapon and never went back to it.

Was that for me? I do realize that. I want the ADS mount but I don't enjoy PVP so I've come to terms that it's something I won't get. Kind of annoying that they reskinned it and it's also PVP but it is what it is. I'm not going to force myself to do PVP that I don't want to do and complain about it after. Same with the Mentor Roulette Mount, the Roulette itself is okay but the volume of the achievement is dumb, I'm not forcing myself to try and get it.

I do complain about things when it actually makes sense.

Diadem sucks and it needs to be fixed, not because of some specific reward that I want but because it can be good and can be used much better in the future.

I don't like A and S Rank hunting. Did it when it first came out for the Oil/Sands upgrades, hated it. Complained a little bit. Now I just don't do it besides the occasional S Rank when it's super convenient for me. The new Heavensward Daily/Weekly Hunt Bills is enough for me, I like those. Would be even better if B Rank is daily for like 30-50 instead of Weekly for 100 seals but whatever. Being able to get upgrade items via Weeping City also alleviates that.

This thing is a low development cost crossover event. Not much point to stress over it.
